While I was loosing focus in class, I came to think about religion and politics. How can you make a political decision without involving your beliefs, which have been effected by religion?
I think it was King Charles who started the whole seperation of religion and polictics because he wanted to divorce his wife or something. Back to the topic....How can you even seperate religion and politics. Religion is a way of life. And a way of life someway or another will effect political decisions, etc.
Probably making no sense.

Well, I will try to answer this question. Religion normally does not effect the decisions of todays leaders, main reason......because religion is dying. Well, not so much "religion" but faith. And if you have no faith then religion is nothing more than a front you put up. Thus it could not influence their decisions. On the other hand, it is the people's choice who rises to power and who does not. You, the people, choose. So it is your fault if your choice does not have your values, morals, etc. The Leader reflects the society of those who he leads. So the choice is yours....................
Who says it doesnt always get in the damned way? Some people just cant make logical choices by themselves.
Yeah it is fading out though.
Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.
One of my friends said that America is going to fall like the Roman Empire, the Greek Empire, etc. because we have shut religion out of school books and everything...I can see why she feel's that way.

Having Religion in School books is essentially religious opression.
We have a state religion here (Roaming Catlicks) but rather than teaching that in schools (Still taught it by priests in some cases) we are taught theology and ethics. It sort of ensures that a majority of the population have open minds whan it comes to religion.
You still have slight bigotry in the older generations but it's usually a personal thing, nobody goes shouting on the streets about it.
I suppose we have eight hundred years of religious opression to thank for it
(BTW it was Henry VIII "Divorce with a vengance" )
I cant evyl. Empires with or without religious teachings fall. Its even less a factor today (in the large scale) nothing in the holy books about economics.
