does reincarnation really exist?? is it possible for a person to die (young) and their soul to enter another person's body of their similar age, status, sex, or whatever??? ******************************
My tears gone cold, I'm wonderin' why
I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds at my window and I can't see at all
And even if I could, it would all be great
To put your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad....
oh, wanna thank you
for givin' me the best days of my life,
i wanna thank you, for givin me the best days
of my life....
"Thank you", Dido

hi,
ok, no offence, but that's a fucking stupid question...or it could be that i just understand it wrong?!?
If this question could be answered, then we'd know which religions are true and which are bullshit, wouldn't we? If someone'd tell me that this could work, i would've already killed myself for a new life
I mean, do you really think that this question can be answered? noone could proove it anyway...sorry if this answer sounds mean, but you're a really stupid person, aren't you???

Well, I've stated in a few threads that I believe in reincarnation.
I don't KNOW it exist's, but I believe it to be true. Different things have persuaded me to believe it.
However as for your question that you would end up in the same place in the same situation. I don't think you would.
According to my personal beliefs we are on a path to enlightenmet. At the same time every thing we do affects are outcome, or karma. If you do good, good will come back. If you do bad, bad will come back.
In other words, depending on the life you have lived would dictate what your next life would be.
However, at the same time I believe that life is a lesson. We go from one life to the next experiancing different things, different joys, different pains. So we may understand everything and experiance it all. The time we have on earth is a pittance when compared to how long it has been around. There is no way we could come to understand any of it in the mere 70-80 years alloted to us.
There is also the possibility that those people that experiance the greatest hardships are the ones closest to enlightenment. They are the oldest souls and are the only ones able to handle such travisty. They who understand the difference between the creation and the creator, and know the technique of liberation from the trap of Maya, with the help of knowledge, attain the Supreme. Um...I kinda believe it, I'm not exacty sure though. I don't believe that It happens to everyone. But I do believe that reincarnation is possible. On the other hand, I don't think that one would enter a body of someone the same age as they were when they died. I think that they are put into the the body of an unborn fetus or something. There's plenty of theologies that believe in reincarnation--take Hinduism for instance . . .

I kind of like the other planet idea.
I've always thought it rather self important for fundimentalist's to insist there is no other life in the universe then what's here. What makes us so special. If they truly thought god was great and created everything, why the heck would he populate one planet in the whole friggen universe.
They always tell me that there is no life, because the bible doesn't say there is.
Masturbation isn't in the bible either, and millions of people still do it. *grin* They who understand the difference between the creation and the creator, and know the technique of liberation from the trap of Maya, with the help of knowledge, attain the Supreme. (13.34) -Bhagavad Gita

Im not sure if it is true or not.
I was always told that you didnt
always come back as another person.
that you could come back as like a cat or
dog some animal. when i was little i
belived that you could come back as something
you didnt like such as i dont like ants
or small insects so therefore i would come
back as one of those.
i have a question for you. If you do come back as a person does your soul think the same as when you were alive?

i suppose when you reincarnate (i'm speaking hypothetically) it seems it would make sense your spirit never died, just your body, so your soul likely stays the same through your many lifetimes (except in the way those lifetimes change it). Then i suppose with each lifetime, you learn a little more, and it gets added to the knowledge you subconsciously possess from previous lifetimes. That would explain why when we discover our beliefs and such, it isn't like we form them right there--it is like learning what we always knew . . .

What do you think you'll reincarnate as? What do you want to become? In the future, your answer may change, for we never stay the same (especially non-tenacious people)
I think my mom would be a rat. She's too stingy & lives off every crumb & penny as if she were poor.
If I had to be an animal it would be a shark..its the most dominant animal. Perhaps an eagle..its sharp eyes are always aware, I like to travel (fly & you can travel anywhere, except in water) & that feels like freedom. I'd love to feel the breeze through my wings. Maybe a lion..I read they fuck 50 times a day! (at least during breeding season..a bit hard to believe though). At least a type of predator..top of the food chain!
Maybe we will become an element, such as fire, water or wind. If I had to be an element, it would be water or wind. If I were water, you couldn't survive without me!
Something with energy & motion..something that seems alive. Perhaps a god, a planet or a star. Maybe we will live in our dreams..do we really know why we dream? Aterlife may be nothing like Earth.

Do I believe in reincarnation? Nope A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lamstand?

You have a cup of tea, the cup being the body and the soul being the tea. You break the cup, and the tea goes out. BUt the tea still exsist, on the floor, on the tabel, in the towel.
so i don't exactly beleive reincarnation is for me, cause i am a christian now. but in old lives i'm pretty sure i wasn't, and those lives have been reincarnated. it's all very odd. but i totally think it happens.

Your right abou the soul, and body. The body dies, and the soul lives on. Thats what I believe.
But I think it says in the bible, "Man is to live once, and then the judgement." (not word for word, and I'm not sure where it is at)
I believe we are on earth to live our lives free. So that we can learn, and become like God, childrens of God.
So in heaven, we will still be free, but we will know the difference of right and wrong.
In other words, were not puppets. A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lamstand?

i like it in a way. i really like your signature line. and boy do i ever like it. i have to tell a friend of mine that one when she gets back from camp. and i believe as you do, but for those that believe in reincarnation, it's like another chance for them to try and find god.
