this people sometimes gets their share of info through dreams or visions. in my opinion .. they vision is something that is bound to happen, but only you can change it's course.. because, as they say.. they future is in your hands after all.

Yes absolutely, reality/fate/destiny is what we make/create it to be. Choice is ultimate. What psychics pick up on are -possibilities-. This does not mean that whatever they have divined WILL happen, HAS to happen, has NO choice BUT to happen. At any given time your actions and thoughts can change the entire course of your life. When say for example having a Tarot reading done, the entire reading is heavily influenced by the questioners state of mind, emotional disposition and expectations. Within these parametres the reader will sense the possibilities that are evident. Palms are an amazing confirmation in this. Having one's palm read, one can read very far into the future of the one having the reading done. But these yet again are merely possibilities and not static inevitabilities. Therefore when one changes one's life, mind, emotions the lines in the hand can change. The finer lines (which of course do have significance) can disappear. Having someone "peek" into your future does not mean you have to abide to that which was seen. Life is about choice, and reality is what you make it!

i put more faith in my cards and quija board than most psychics...

The catch with predictions is how can someone see something when it hasn't happened yet?

I used to be precognitive but I still don't believe it's possible

Here's a way Subconcious simulation, the better you can simulate in your mind the world around you, then the more accurate your predicitions can be.

I've actuall just finished reading a really good book on the subject "the book of prophecy" by Geoffrey Ashe.
Well worth a read, it just gives all the historical facts surrounding prophecies that people have conviently forgotten.

For example at the time the book of revelations was written everyone knew what 666 meant, giving numbers as codes was a common puzzle back then, kind of on par with crosswords now.
He also explains that with every prophecy it isn't possible that people saw a future event because even if they did the sort of prophecies that we have seen to date indicate more background knowledge about the subjects they prophecy that a simple glance to the future would give.
They sound more like they were made by someone living at the time of the event.
He goes on to explain what might really be happening.

He also explains that King Arthurs body being found buried at Glastonbury was a rouse by the English to demoralise the Welsh during a war.
That Merlin was fictional, a combination of various legendary "magicians" in a book written in the 1200s.
And that a famous book of Merlins prophecies was not "found"in a cave in Wales but actually written After all the prophecied events had happened (fantastic piece of propaganda there )

I find that to be rather interesting but not to accurate, like for instance, remembering the future I can understand, but actually understanding what is going on?
Take for example the Statement made by Nostrudamas 'struck down by thunder' to describe bullets. That does not mean he understood all of what he saw, but it does lead ones thoughts in that direction.

The future is mutable and changes and fluctuates and flows along with our choices and actions. What happens when precognitive insights and visions occur is a glimpse into a possibility of an outcome, one that is relevant and coinciding with the present state of mind of the one having a reading done or simply a general vision concerning a country or something abstract like that. On such an abstract scale the psychic taps into the collective unconscious and can discern the possibilities that can affect a nation or the entire world. We all contribute to these possibilities with our thoughts, actions and reactions. On a more personal level, when a psychic reading "comes true" it's merely a case of the possibility that was shown to the psychic is one that has attached itself to our subconscious, and through our thoughts and will we actually bring forth that outcome. But we can also prevent or change entirely that which has been "seen". We are not prisoners to Fate; we create our own Fate through our choices and actions. Energy follows thought.... what we imagine, what we envision, what we affirm through words can and do materialize for we are the creators of our own realities.

Exactly Lillith (I lurve these types of discussions) but if someone foresaw a future event and did something to prevent it happening, what did they see?

They originally saw the future but changed the present so that particular future couldn't happen, so then how did they see it if, looking back from the future event, they had prevented it ever happening.

It's the classical metaphysical paradox.
lets say for example that you had a working time machine.
You can't travel to the future because it hasn't happened yet so you can only travel to the past, But, from the point of view of people in the past, you are coming from the future, which hasn't happened yet, so it isn't possible

This type of discussion really needs alcahol to get off the ground, have you ever noticed that after a good drinking session, stuff like this makes perfect sense and you can quite easilly solve all the problems in the universe but can't remember how you did it the next morning

Fero, Dimensional Referernce, Everything that Can happen does Happen. So there are varying futures, for everything. So using the Hypothetical time Machine, it is what tells the time machine where it comes from and where it goes to.

..but if that's the case then the time machine doesn't operate as a time machine but a dimensional machine.
It doesn't visit it's own past but a parallel existence

To travel back to it's own past would necessitate time to be completely linear and along a single path which would create the paradox.

If time was completly linear and in one direction, then everything has to be fated and only one outcome from every event.

lol. Actually thought out until you have a headache it means that the time machine can go back, but can never return to where it left, becuase never will its dimensional signature ever match its dimension again.

It is a great fallacy that you need to predict the future to choose well now. Relying on predictions of the future weakens your capacity to make good choices. When you think that you have everything figured out, you may start to drift by on your preconceived notions, rather than playing the game in the present moment with all the skill and attention you can muster.

Even if events do not go as our essence planned, and predictions therefore prove wrong, sometimes things work out for the best anyway. A case in point was my apartment when I lived in Manhattan. Affordable apartments were next to impossible to find when I moved there, especially those larger than one-bedroom. However, my guides told me that I would find an inexpensive two-bedroom apartment to share. I got a photographic image of it, and a couple of my friends psychically saw similar images. Apparently, my guides were working on a few possible apartments that fit that description, but all of them fell through. I still found an affordable apartment, but it was a studio. It had been one of my guides' "back-up" choices, but they hadn't told me about it ahead of time. It was disappointing at first, but it turned out to suit my needs better in some respects than the envisioned apartment likely would have.

No one on any plane of existence is infallible or knows everything we need to know. In addition, we all have our own experience of reality and ways of describing it. There is no right and wrong in this regard, only infinite facets of truth. We do have much to learn from each other, and those on higher planes usually have more experience, greater resources of information, and a larger perspective than we do on the physical plane. However, their counsel is more accurately viewed as coming from loving friends than from a deity. No one is more "God" than anyone else.

We are each responsible for ourselves. We experience more growth if we don't do things merely because we think someone else, incarnate or not, told us to. It is well to examine what we hear others say with appreciation and respect, but we don't always hear what is actually meant, for one thing. More importantly, no one knows us better than we know ourselves, at least potentially. We must make our own decisions and mistakes, and form our own understanding, if we are to learn to guide the course of our lives wisely. Besides, true teachers don't tell people what to do. They give greater perspective and understanding, so that their students can make well-informed choices. Beware of those who issue orders, or who are certain that they know what's best for someone else, even if they are being channeled from a higher plane. Just because material is channeled does not mean that it is appropriate or a fully realized expression of truth.

is time travel really relevant, the only ones who would be aware that anything "funny" is going on would be those doing the traveling...the average joe would just think that's how life always was.

I don't think that travel into the future is a mere fantasy. Going into a time period that does not yet exist may seem out-wordly when all it takes is the passing through a much faster moving plane or realm so to speak.

Time travel into the future is most more probable than going into the past. Using Einstein's theory, if a spaceship/machine were able to achieve speeds near or equal to the speed of light, time in the machine would go much slower. The closer you are to achieving lightspeed, the slower time on the rest of the material plane will go. The only problem is that according to Einstein's theory, achieving half the speed of light will half your volume, while acheiving the full speed of light will turn our bodies and whatever we are traveling in, into a wave.
