| Ouija Boards -
02-06-04
Browsing these boards got me to thinking about a friend I had back in High School.
He was really into witchcraft and the occult. I was into the occult, but not witchcraft so much.
One day, he brought a Ouija board to school and during lunchtime we took it to the library and tried it out.
It was fun and all. There were a few kids there that thought we were practising Satanism
A few more folks came in and tried it. It's a fun game. Nobody knows who's moving it.. if anyone's moving it at all.
That's the question though... Does it really work, or is it a just a fun party game?
My buddy told me that it's dangerous to use one by yourself because you could be demon possessed.
*shrugs* Just thought I'd post my first topic. Hehe. The statement below is the truth.
The statement above is a lie.

You know when I was middle school my friends and I had a Quija board. We took it to the libaray and we went to left side corner of the room to play with it . People that were checking out books grabbed them and ran off. There was only nine of us playing with it.
But anyways yes they can cause possession. I remember going through a site that talked about Quija boards. But I don't remember what fucking site I went to.
I'll try and see if I could find the site for you.

I think it's idiotic to play around with an Ouija board primarily because of the chance of it conjuring or calling on a restless spirit that is within the vicinity of the Ouija board.
There are some stories and statements by people that after using Ouija boards they started to encounter poltergeist occurances.
Also, my question is how is it that someone is spelling out an entire word when there is/are multiple people/persons holding onto the thing, which would mean they would all try to spell out multiple things thus resulting in pure gibberish. (\ /)

i love that link shy...mainly because the three sources they had for "experiences" were from the sun and national examiner...two of my favorite papers...
i've heard scary stories about quija boards, but personally have had no...bad experiences...i think those only happen if the people playing the board invite them to happen...or have no idea what they are doing...then naturally those that...are contacted will have a bit of fun...

My friends and I were really into Ouija boards a few years ago, but after one night I haven't touched one since. We were having some fun, talking to a spirit named "John" when suddenly my friend Ashleigh screamed. We all looked at her funny, since she had the tendency to do random things like that for the hell of it, but she asked us what we were looking at her for. None of us was concentrating on the board when the pointer started moving again. It was only going in circles so I asked what the spirit's name was. It replied "Dancer". Then he started spelling "death death death" over and over. We flipped over the board and, only slightly freaked, we went to bed. Every single one of us (there were eight of us that night if I remember correctly) had the exact same dream about this "Dancer" slitting his wrists in the bathtub and drowning. We all had the same physical description of him. Tall, green eyes, goatee and a tattoo of Christ on his shoulder. Sometimes I still dream about him, and I know a couple of the other girls do too. Ashleigh however has chronic nightmares and she will only take showers, never a bath. Even though I keep getting more and more skeptical when it comes to the occult, witchcraft and other "paranormal" things, that night keeps me from disbelieving entirely.
As a side note... when my father was a kid, he and his four brothers and sisters had an entire closet full of board games and Lincoln Logs and the like. When his house burnt down, the only thing in the closet that didn't burn was their Ouija board. Not even a singe mark. Early in life I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility. I chose the former, and have seen no reason to change.

Thank you Jordyn. I go through alot of interesting ghost sites. My brother Kevin got me hooked on them. I to have played with the Quija Board. I played with it with a few couple of people I new from school. We played with it at my house and we asked the spirit to show it's self. But nothing happened at all. Once when everybody left I so wanted to have that Quija Board. But they wouldn't let me have it.

I don't know.
Ok I have a question in mind. What is the difference if one were to play with the board by them selves while some people have others to play with? Is more or less dangerious that way?

well jp, ones a misspelling the other is not? all i know is the name is yes in french or something like that...
as for you question shy, i think that goes with the concept that two people can't be possessed, where as one could easily be so...*shrugs* i don't know where the rules came from... To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Oui - Yes in French
Ja - Yes in German is it?
I know it's two 'yes'es in one word.
It's what my friend said about not playing with one alone due to the fact that a lone person can be possessed more easily. I guess the spirit has a harder time picking out one person in a group to possess. The statement below is the truth.

So it's safer to play that board game with other people then by your self. Do to having possession. Man that is kind of creepy. Thank you for answering my question.

hmm from personal experience from back when i was in high school i use to play with them by myself.... no ill effects that i knew of.... hell a few times i even had in a circle and 2 boards that i used at the same time.... still nothing drastic happened.... though i will admit that i did have several rather interesting nightmares following for a few weeks There is no Joy greater than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, EXCEPT mabey the joy of watching a Dreamer who has no where to land but in the Ocean of Reality! Ok if I were to be a spirit and I were to be in contact with a bounch of people playing with the board. Yes in the first place I would be confused to see which one of the people I would want to possess. But in this case I would pick one person out of that group who happens to be the weakest link. Once when I find a person who is the weaking link in that group. Then I would possess the person who is the weakest. That is what I would do if I was a spirit.

Maybe it's harder than what you say to pick someone out of a group to possess when there's so many different energies floating around in one space.
Maybe more than one being present confuses the attempt or causes interference. The statement below is the truth.

this reminds me of a comic from matt groening's "welcome to hell"
"what will you do when you die"
it has six tombstones each with a different...afterlife...my favorites were...i'm going to come back as a poltergiest that specializes in hiding remote controls and talking on quija boards...the other was "party in hell, everyone's invited" sadly i'm unable to find it it could apply here To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater.
