Why do many people belive that www and 666 are the so called signs of the "beast"???? I remember something about dating back to Roman and Greek time that had to do with something about thier Alphabet and numbers....I think www means 666 in some other language or some other ancient language...If So then why 666???? I think its really silly of people to think this way..It is just a number..but because of "the hype" in todays society ( as well as past societies) we have become to associate these numbers with something evil.It is very silly.

Yet 666 is just a number and the cross is just two peices of wood stuck together.

I was reading revelations and I noticed that it said that it took scholars 1000 years to decode the mark of the beast, and it came to six hundred threescore six. I just thought it was interesting, maybe the mark of the beast is a puzzle?
"666" means "Nero" in an ancient code used by Christians under Roman persecution to hide their true names.
When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.
It's a mystery for a reason and it isn't only in revelations it's also in some writings by the sumerians and a tribe in west africa, they don't mention the 666 obviously, that's just Johns interpretation of what it means. don't bother trying to figure it out they all say that you will only figure it out if you're supposed to.
