Give me your reasons for believing?

My faith gives me a (possibly false) sense of security. A sense that no matter what wrongs people sya i ahve done, I am still loved by a supreme deity who forgives me, redeems me and, therefore, sustains me.

I've been curious about this lately to with so many new posters...but as usual I'd like to take it a bit further...what inspired your belief?

That pretty much sums up my view.

He tries to tell me what I put inside of me
He's got the answers to ease my curiosity
He dreamed a God He flexed his muscles to keep his flock of sheep in line
He made a virus that would kill off all the swine
His perfect kingdom of killing, suffering and pain
Demands devotion atrocities done in his nameup and called it ChristianityGod is dead and no one cares
And no one cares drowning in his own hypocrisy
And if there is a hell I will see you see you there

Burning with your God in humility

It doesn't work that way. Someone has to have a reason to believe something, not a reason not to.
