From what I know about them, they were the offspring between a male demon and a female human. Anyone know where I can find out a touch more about them? I don't have the section of the Talmud Bavli that contains info about them, and my Rabbi has it, but it's in all Hebrew, so that doesn't me a lot lol.

It is angels and offspring, Sire, just fallen angels. That last page was pretty good, but they left a few things out. Goliath was a Nephilim, one of the last ones, if I remember correctly

And yea, the theory of angels being aliens (beings on bright wings, falling from sky... UFO crashlanding among primitive species... add 2 and 2 together and see what your reaction as a primitive would be)... Does hold some chance of correctness.

I've heard that theory also a few times, aliens being angels/demons. I can see it as believable. I mean, imagine what an angel/demon would look like... probably incredibly 'freaky' and therefore, alienistic (etc etc)

I'd go further even... To say that religion developed under a cultural shock brought by, perhaps accidental, extraterrestrial contact with us as a less civilised species... Some 2000-5000 years ago. (can't be bothered to figure out the exact time when someone wrote the bible/q'ran/shem up...)

Seeing there was no possibility to live with humans on an equal basis, or perhaps deeming them not yet ready for further contact, the aliens left thereafter... Probably annihilating every trace of their existance. To a prehistoric commoner, that would have looked like a higher power...

Angels, demons... Ach, the images were all drawn up later. An angel was a good alien, one who liked to assist the "native" earth population, a demon was one who would try and scare them off... (probably just a security guard or such).

A theory, nothing more... But a possible one imo. And one that would render a few religions obsolete... when they find out... God was but the name of the captain of the crashed ship...

I think if such evidence were ever discovered, at any point along the way.. it would have been immediately destroyed and covered up.

I don't think any religious organizations leaderships would allow such evidence or information to ever be brought to light.

If you look closely enough... And read between the lines in the bible, and combine that with the technological understanding of a few milennia ago...

Mankind has been on this Earth an extraordinarily long time in comparison to your short life spans. You have had many religions in that time. Although all have had the same context of thought.

There is a difference between children formed through intercourse with an Angel, and the creation of a being through the Holy Spirit. However, the Book of Enoch is an excellent source of alternative knowledge.
