I have but one simple question, and that being, where would be a good place to find tools for the craft, specifically scrying mirrors, or other tools that others have found quite helpful in their practices.

Actually, if you knew anything of witchcraft and those that practice it, you would know I hadn't spelled it wrong. the "k" that was placed in the word, differentiates it from what stage magicians do. And if you really want to get into a discussion on it, feel free to e-mail me, and not bring this on here, where all I am doing is asking a question to others that deals with the workings of magick. In the light, I see my death;
In the darkness, I see my life;
In the shadows, I see my love;
And in my dementia, I see my sanity.

One thing you will notice about DF is that it is a very rare thread that actually accomplishes its mission objective
Anyways I am with thefr0g on this. Irregardless magic is magic whether it is stage magic or whodovoodoo. Adding the "K" only makes it a punching bag.
Try e-bay. Lots of folks selling wierd stuff there.

I don't even know why I'm bothering to even reply to your comment Dyshade, but when it comes to practitioners of witchcraft, we add the "k" to the word magic to separate the differences of the two types. If you don't believe me, feel free to look it up, ask any Witch, Pagan, Wiccan, Druid, Celtic, they will tell you the same. I don't pull things like that out of my ass on a whim or to "sound" cool. Like I told thefr0g, if you have a problem with it, e-mail it to me, don't be an ass and put it on here. In the light, I see my death;

Once again let me reiterate, about 60 or so years ago some guy thought it would be cool to start a new religion, he added a K to magic so it would sound cool and started witchcraft. I am not stupid, I know all about happy witchcraft.... it is a fairly brand new kid on the block when it comes to religions.
No one is going to e-mail you. We discuss stuff here. Which is why it is called Discussion Forums.
I did leave you a pretty cool link if I say so myself. And you did not even leave a word of thanks. The only difference between the magic of wiccans and the magic of stage performers is that the magic of stage performers actually appears to accomplish something (an illusion), while the other type is pretty much all bullshit.

And to answer your question, most of the best ritual items can be found in nature, such as the black snake, or the blood, hair, or bones of a creature. Items made from cherrywood are the most effective in rite and no other wood should be considered. Celtic sea salt is a must, and i'll tell you this. What i've learned about rituals is this, the more time and effort you expend, the greater the results. The gods will reward our expenditures appropriately. Mark RIP 05 06 07 -200 hours

if they are such mighty gods, why do they need such elaborate rituals, time consuming crafting with a lot of thought, planning and words in order to care, grant or hear what their follower is asking for?
would they really care if you're using cherry wood or oak, where exactly does celtic sea salt come from, what sort of ritual are you doing that needs, blood, hair and bones of a dead creature?
say what you will about christianity, it's sure less complicated...all i need is a book and prayer to keep my God happy, i've always loved to read exciting stories and thinking about their potential lesson naturally follows, finish with an amen and i've fufilled my contractual obligations of worship. and i'm not being sarcastic frog and there was nothing easy about swaying me, it took three very clever men one with an amazing amount of knowledge based in messianic jewish teachings to make me even consider it could be a world as wonderful as that i found in the occult...believing is easy and something i always have done, this is the first challenge i've face in my beliefs, understanding something that i've hated for so long, and embracing it...you may call it weak minded, but at least i have the mind to challenge and question my own beliefs, respecting other for theirs, willing to consider the possibilty i'm wrong, and flexible enough to change, when it's been proven i'm wrong.
if you prove to me God does not exist...than perhaps i'll change my mind, how can i argue with unquestionable proof...but until then i'm going by what i feel is best for my life and spirituality, having made the choice aware of other possibilities. what validates your belief that there's nothing out there, more so than those who believe there is?
