My wish would be possible and have far-reaching implications. It's an ideology and dream I have incubated for many years....

My dream is that the whole world would become vegetarian. I believe that would be the first step in raising the frequencies of consciousness. If man had respect for all of life and realized that we are all sentient beings, and there was no need for taking the life of another to simply feed a lust for flesh he could also have more respect for his fellow man. There would also then not be the need for goods made from animal skin and fur, the end of the meat industry would mean the end of this trade. It would instill the balance in Nature that our greed has infected and caused havoc in. When one realizes the value of that which is alive and is part of the Oneness of all we would be better equipped with caring for each other and promote the healing this world so desperately needs. When there is enough food for the hungry due to the extra land being available after the mass breeding of cows has ceased, there wouldn't be a need to keep fighting for more space to claim. When the violence we incur simply to feed our stomachs has stopped we may see the senselessness in killing another human being for the mere sake of "owning" a piece of Mother Earth, when she already shares herself naturally...

Nevermind what eating the flesh of an animal does to the aura, or what the implications of ingesting food that has been pumped with chemicals and antibiotics does to mental dispositions, seratonin levels and physical health in general. If we ingest something that has been brought to us through the means of violence and inhumane means we take those energies into our physical being and also our auric beings. An animal that dies with the sense of fear will give you that "gift" and this simply increases with each helping of meat one has.

We do not need meat, it's a fallacy, we do not need milk, that is a lie. The consumption of milk inhibits the body's ability to digest and process natural calcium found in vegetables, so in fact the end result is constant consumption of milk decreases bone mass through the years. Eastern diets where animal products such as milk is extremely low if not non-existent prove this; it's only in the West where osteoporosis is rampant.

That would be my one wish...

i'd wish people would have the basic sense of what "do unto others as you'd have others do onto you means...using their brain to it's full functionality, allowing them to ascend all the pettiness, greed, and selfishness that's so rampant in our society today, resulting in a very unpleasant world. Once they were able to use that reasoning, i feel then all the ideal existences would be a possibility, while still leaving their desire to live as they wish, theirs.

Umm... So they realize that plants are sentient too? And that there is no need to kill them as well?
BTW Plants are concious and alive right up to the point they either die of starvation or death by oven.. so I ask you which is more humane?

Yes..the oldest evolutionary ancestor we have that I can think of is the tree shrew..tiny little rodents that live in trees that later became monkeys..i'm sure there's a diagram on the web somewhere of human evolution..the human brain is the best illustration as it simply piles new brain parts upon old ones when needed..take out chunks of human brain and you can construct shapes of the brains of the creatures we came from...all the way back to fish.

My wish would be that we actually respect each other without racial boundaries .. we are humans, and that's what matters. colors add variety .. but that doesn't mean you have to abuse someone because of his ethinic race and/or color.

I'd like to see it so that food was no longer necessary, and humans could "feed" off of water, sunlight, and chemicals found in the soil (strange wish for someone who wants to own a restaurant). But that's not the lot we're given. It has been necessary for our evolution that we eat meat; if we were vegetarians, we would not be what we are. If we were plants, we'd be far less than even that. Omnivores are proven repeatedly to be the most intelligent animals; there's a reason for it. Now, it might be possible at some point for us to biologically engineer ourselves so that we no longer need to kill anything to live, at which point we should do so. But as it is, until we do, I'm going to continue to make do with the situation as I can. While it's possible to live without meat, it's much more expensive. It also limits my options as far as flavor and texture go. Milk we can live without, but it tastes good, and is the only food we eat that doesn't inherently require that something die for it.

Now, I would like to see free-range meat become more dominant, and I think Americans and the First World should eat less of it (maybe one serving of meat a day), but I wouldn't get rid of it entirely. I'd also like to see certain species that are approaching true sentience, such as dolphins, apes, and possibly pigs, elephants, and dogs, put under protection so that they cannot be killed legally for anything but self-defense. Some day, any of these may evolve into the second truly sentient, intelligent species on this planet.

If I had one wish, though, I think I'd use it to abolish all corrupt governments. Every dictator, despot, monarch, and 'chairman' should be toppled. Only Republic- or Democratic- based governments should be allowed to exist.

Your one wish sounds good, however as for the vegetarian issue and milk, well I guess you'll soon enough find my split thread about those very topics. And as for only "dolphins, apes, and possibly pigs, elephants, and dogs being sentient"is very idealized, because those are the the ones we see mostly around us and in the media. The fact is ALL animals are sentient beings, not just a select elite few.
