If its a lake of fire though why does it have a tidal surge?...is it a lake or is it a sea?...or is it a big lake a bit like a sea but not big enough to actually be called a sea?.

In the northern part of the world they believed hell to be freezing cold. It all depends on what the individual think is worst. In warm countries a lake of fire would be horrible, resembling the deserts and suchlike, but for for instance Vikings, who lived in the cold north, heat was a blessing, signifying growth and prosperity.

there is a paperback book that was first printed in 1977. It explores the mythos of Sumerian and Assyro-Babylonian religions
It is said that the translated text is based on sorcerer's handbooks. It contains information on opening gates for the various "Gods" they worshipped, and their methods of doing so. Discusses abominations, terrible offspring of Ancient Ones. Some of the more well known deities it discusse are Innana, Tiamat and other such ancient names. It has translations for some of their words, in which Xuldemios has made some refrences to. It contains the sigils and chants for various methods of dealing with those who you are not fond of. If he is indeed a demon, he should be able to suggest if such writings are indeed fiction, or based on fact. Those who translated the book do not claim if they believe the trascripts they translated or not.

This text is mentioned in both the Simon Necronomicon and the Hay-Wilson-Turner-Langford Necronomicon.

Well let me ask you this question, should a book of such great power exist.......do you think they would sell it to the public? I have said this once, I shall say it again, The Necromonicon IS A WORK OF FICTION!!!!!!!!! All the necronomicon is is a book of what "could be" (but no one knows for sure) part of an older religion that causes for the acts of necromancy. H.P.Lovecraft made the whole idea up!
