Hey horned1, you inspired me. Have you ever been attacked by an entity? This could be an interesting thread?

I have never been physically attacked, however when I was seriously channeling and practicing with spirits, a few did manage to startle me.

Is this magick related?

i dont know if i can call it an attack cause im still not sure what it was....

It could be considered a magick subject I guess. It really depends if it is an entity you contacted(magick)an entity in your house(classic haunting)or a demonic entity that for whatever reason decided it wanted to pick on someone.

Yes, it has happened to me on several occasions.

First time was scary, I didn't know what the hell was happening. I wasn't doing anything at the time so I didn't expect anything, totally unprovoked your honour..

for those of you starting out in magic, you might think wards (or if you use the same method as me, trinity) are a waste of time, spending ages preparing for a conjuring that will only last five minutes...

Take precautions, it's a lot more difficult to stop than prevent.

I once lived in a house that had a ley line going through the back yard which had a Hills hoise (that's a large steel clothes line to you yanks) planted right in the middle of it. Just about eveything used to tread that thing as a bus stop and we had all sorts of ookie spookies get off and visit.

Had strong shielding around the house, but that didn't stop us being 'attacked' on a regular basis. Most weren't deliberately hostile, just curious. Some, however, were darn-right dangerous. Good thing the three occupants of the house were witches, one of whom had a ceremonial magician for a boyfriend :)

the same spirit tries to attack me EVERY time, tries to frighten me, but i just think it's cute . but that pisses it off .

let's see....well no i haven't come in contact with an entity. I think that channelling stuff is a kind of sin, so I don't practice it. don't go pissing at me for my beliefs either.

don't worry, unless you're catholic i won't bash your beliefs .

I voted no because I've never been attacked...I have encountered entities before, but most just wanted to use me as a voice...Mostly thru the ouija board...I've also experienced white figures in the middle of the night standing next to me...

Personally I think the subject is one of the most important areas to study in magick because, as has been said, once you start to train yourself you always come across them.
From what I've seen most people are being attacked or controlled to some extent by entities/thoughtforms without knowing it, though they might not be doing a great deal of damage, they are still there. Its only when one turns up that is obvious that someone might just become aware of its presense.
Even certain types of disease I've found to operate in exactly the same way as any other entity, like a half and half entity, half etheral, possessing a defined etheral image and the cunning and guile of an advanced intellect, and half physical in the nature of the virus or bacteria.
Some are easy to beat and some will fight and fight to beat you, they know all the tricks and may even let you think you've won only to come back at you years later, maybe even spending years wrecking you before going in for the kill.
Interesting critters and maybe a reason in their own right to learn magick.
