Did Jesus Christ call himself God? Or did he have the bad habit of talking to him self for example "Forgive them Father for they know not what they are doing" ?
Did he tell his followers to Worship him?
Did He go to his companions and say.. worship me because I am God?

No. When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

Whats the difference between Worshipping Buddah and Jesus? (I'm not saying that theres anything wrong with this and I respect all beliefs)
According to some people anyone who worships any one other than a higher power (God.. what ever one chooses to call him) is an idol worshipper.
So.. Most of todays christians are idol worshippers?

no anti i think your right on that one
and as far as my opinion and understanding go every christian church i have been in has one the widdest know "idol" symbols up, somewhere, on the pulpit(sp?)...its the cross... now i am not saying they worship the cross... but they do worship jesus.. who in that form wasnt god... he was gods son.... and the cross is one of the main symbols related to jesus...
like i said.. its my opinon on the thing... so if anyone cares to yell at me about it let me know so i can hit the mute button or atleast turn down the volume "Stuborn, Snarley Males!" ~Janelle Angiline black jewel trilogy To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Alright, here's how it works. Crucifixes and Crosses aren't idols. People don't worship them. They're symbols of devotion, not objects of devotion. Jesus was asked in the four gospels by his Disciples if she was the messiah. She answered differently in each gospel, so it's up in the air for debate. Worshipping Jesus would not necessarily be idol worship because Jesus became literally one with God, much akin to Buddha. So it's not worshipping a seperate entity, merely part of the whole. When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

The idolatry factor comes into play with the common animosity towards Roman Catholics from "true" christians, because of the Catholic practice of praying to entities other than God, most specifically, Mary. Since Jesus is God (re: holy trinity), praying to him is not idolatry. Help Us Make A Difference!

but crucifixes and crosses are still symbols...they are a way to represent ur religion, just like the star of david...and ALOT of ppl make these things really sacred...almost to the point they practically are worshipping them...
anything that u can see or touch that represents a religion is a form of an idol/symbol in some way...such as a cross, buddah, etc....
therefore, if these idols/symbols are ur representation of ur religion, its the same as worshiping that idol/symbol...
true, they arent the subject(god) ur worshipping, like the buddah,i.e....but some ppl carry their meanings too far and forget that this is not a representation of jesus/god. its only a representation of their beliefs...
thats just my oppinion...

...no. First of all, idols and symbols are different things entirely. This isn't subject to vast subjectiveness, there are definitions. If you don't worship it, it's not an idol. That simple. Idols were statues people used to actually worship because they thought the spirits of gods and demons and what not lived inside them. A cross is the same as getting a tatoo with your boyfriend or girlfriend's name on it. Love the person all you want, it doesn't mean you're sleeping with the tatoo. ugh...God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit are all part of one almighty being. God did create Jesus yet Jesus is a part of God. Its a hard concept to concieve. Jesus did not say he was God however he did preach Gods word. Part of this was that Jesus was the son of God and in that same respect a part of God himself. People worship Jesus because he is a part of God...part of that being, and in worhsiping Jesus you worship God... ~:fAllen sTar:~

There are no pictures, or idols in my place of worship. Well a lot of people like to refer to John 1:1, which in there states that Jesus, was A God...He is a high being but he is not by any means higher than thee God. There are many instances in which Jesus is clearly talking to his father....God spoke to him outloud 3 times with witnesses. Jesus couldn't have been talking to himself. He also said that the father is greater than I, if Jesus were God, how could he be higher than himself?

....that's totally illogical and makes no sense.
You're like those jock guys that say "I don't care if they're bisexual or not, if you screw guys you're gay". You fail to accept that basic definition of things and instead implant your own opinions where logic should be.
Jesus never made reference to any third member, she worshipped and revered God. Never said she was God herself. However, the story is that she became one with God through the way she lived, which is similar to the concept of Buddhism (and in fact there are many, many similarities between the life of Buddha and the life of Jesus). When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

right now it escaped me if Jesus talked about the holy trinity however i wanna say he did. Jesus did not say i am God worhsip me...instead he preached Gods word which was that God created Jesus and Jesus was a direct part of God himself. Jesus is a part of God a major part of God he is "God on Earth". Jesus never directly said this but his teachings did. So i quess you could say he did say he was God but note he never said "i am god, whorship me". He simply did what he was created to do, spread Gods word... ~:fAllen sTar:~
