Basically, my house is haunted (it's about 500 years old) and the "occupiers" are not friendly, there have been a few tantrums but nothing I can't handle.
I have laid down the ground rules but they seem to be ignoring them when I'm not around.

My Girlfriend is a little nervous in the house as it stands, she doesn't know about the interlopers I'm a little worried that they might do something when I'm not there and she is that might scare her even more or hurt her.

Something was following her the other night, it smashed her make up mirror and then blew out the light on the stairs when she went down to put the mirror in the bin.

I didn't appreciate that and dealt with it but the question I have is should I keep decieving her about goings on in the house or should I expunge (I love that word).

I really don't want to tell her, she has a nervous disposition.
I also, however don't want to clear the house because of a couple of bad apples...

I don't know how you should deal with the situation though ..

Well unless you have something that will pass as a possible viable solution you're not getting in the door

tell her, she may think she's going crazy if you don't! Make sure she's open to such matters first, otherwise she may think you're crazy.(i won't tell her you really are)

Oh no her sanity isn't the problem (well not directly anyway) she is worried that the place is haunted and I keep telling her it isn't just to stop her panicking and wanting to move out

haunted houses are kewl.. but they laugh at me behind my back .

maybe just educate her on dealing with them herself...make it fun for her and she wouldn't want to leave, but if she does....

what if sonthing did happen to her because she didnt know?maybe u could give her a tailisman so she wouldnt be so nervous of them.

As for giving her a talisman, She might look on that as suspicious...but... with valentines day coming up...

alternatively I could charm something she already has, like a ring or something, that in itself may attract more attention though.....

You could always realign the energy field of a crystal so that it draws in ghosts and traps them inside. Although I don't know how it is done, I just know that it can be done.
Or you could delve into "other" Practice and dominate it, make it your slave. *shrugs* Not a nice idea though.

Ever since a cab driver told me about his story of his numerolgy tailsman, ive been wearing my own ever since. Its a cracked piece of paper with the chinese numerology square which i had to solve hard equations to get my numbers(birth..) to coincide with the chinese intent off the whole thing. Its been good to me. I use it for chance like a magic 8 ball to decide on life problems. Its also a good fortune teller The whole thing is my substitute for astrology.
sorry--um what is the mass reasoning behind ghost disturbances. find out what others who experienced this thought the were there for, then look more into the history off the house and your ghosts. since we cannot see our psyche, when we die can it escape our body and lure, not consciously obviously but sporatically, causing these minor disturbances?

Cleanse a few rooms, as a starter...ward them, nd make them 'safe havens' for her. I'm not sure it would be a good idea to tell her, even if you manage to convince her to stay, she'll be even more scared...it'll make it very tough for her to be alone there...

Also, after cleansing those selected rooms, make it perfectly clear for all there, that any more incidents will lead to more off-limit areas...while good behaviour might, in time, lift a few wards...

I used to have some sort of presence living in my house..it was one of those things where guests said they heard or saw things..my girlfriend at the time was attacked by a dark shadow on the landing that rushed at her while we were going to bed..I even felt the wind of it moving. However these forces are gone and i'm not sure if it was my technique that did it ..don't laugh but here it is.

Ghosts are energy similair to an aura..auras can interact with each other and the spirit realms what with both being in the same level of for want of a better word 'reality'. The magick I attempted was derived from the American Indian practice of shape changing, though many would think this is a physical thing what you really do is change the properties of your aura to one that resembles an animal and in doing so you adopt some of that animals properties be it sight, strengh etc.

It doesn't have to be a real animal or even an animal at all..you just need to meditate on what properties it has. What does this have to do with ghosts you say.

Well laugh or not but i attempted to turn my aura into one that would be predatory of any invisible entities within my home i'm glad it doesn't show on the surface as i'd scare off everyone else as well.

Eep! No...I don't want any more ghosts...we had a bunch of angry thingies out in the yard after the neighbour buildt a garage over their home... They've moved now though...

Well.... I was out of work all last week with quite a formidable migrane, which tends to sap my patience so on Thursday (I think, a migrane tends to muddle things up) I got rid of everything in my vacinity.

I don't usually resort to Bush-esque clearing , I'm a firm believer that if one bad apple ruins the crop, throw away the bad apple not the crop.
I regret what I did (which is a totally new experience for me ) but it's done now.

My excuse is that I wasn't thinking straight and was very irritatable at the time and I'll try and entice some more back before I move out.
