Demonology, i've read a bit on this subject, i've formed some of my own theories and conclusions on these aspects of christianity that are so much more pleasant...and i was curious...

What do you know, what have you heard and what do you think would be the best method to contact one of these most dangerously tempting creatures?

I know a person who was a Demonolgist, he said it was freky when he was being taught because when he cut his arm for the sacrifice the blood bleed up his arm instead of down it, like it should have.

some angelologists hold that if you call (or vibrate) an angels name you call jt to you. the keys of enoch are based on this principal. thats why no one knows gods real name.....if anyone said it creation would collapse

do you think god would even speak language such as a human might? i'd always imagined that if there were to be a god or gods, they'd be too [great, pure, whatever] for mere human banter. our sounds and sqwaking is surely too simple and ugly for a god!

And what have you learned? I have studied demons as well and you really only need to call them forth. My idea of a demon is radical for some, but basically you can just talk to them. The Christian beleif of fire and brimstone evil creatures is just that, beleif. smoke and mirrors.

I'll give you a hint...

If you were once a god, worshipped by thousands of people daily. Then all that stoped, you were ignored, rejected. Skip ahead a few thousand years and some silly little human man is calling on you, and keeping you bound in a circle. Don't you think you'd be pissed as well? Don't you think you would kill the silly little human who tried to insult you given the chance?

My advice. Call them forth and give them the respect they are due. Don't just count them off as a demon, when they were once a god!

i don't think one of these beigns would have to worry about me not showing proper respect but i've noticed there's not much talk about summonings, banishings, and other spirit arts, is it really as simple as just calling out a name?

No it is nowhere near that simple. You first need a Name.
You can summon with just a Name yet you may never see any results as whatever it may have been would have gone already. A Focal Binding Point is needed to secure an Entity once it is summoned. Many arguments have been had as to what exactly a Focal Binding Point may indeed be.
To put it simply all it really is, is a referance point for your focus. A binding point for your energy and Will.
It could be something as simple as a cheap dagger or as grand and complex as a marble inlaid floor design.

Banishings are the exact opposite of a summoning and are enacted the same way. All that is needed is a Name.

Demonology is not an exact art and many of the Names have been lost to time. Most of the information you would find today would be seriously lacking in any real information as to the how.

It all boils down to the establishment of Will and Desire.

Self-delusional, drugged morons tend to be demonologists. Especially those who are already mentally unhinged. It all leads toward visions that aren't true, the mind making up garbage to try and make them feel not stupid, and various other oddities.

Overall, however, demonology would be one of the more idiotic things to be into if it did, in fact, exist in a true form.

It can be that simple. It all depends where you are along the path. If you really want to call forth these creatures it probally is better to use all the old rites first.

magic is in the mind of the mage. People who were brought up as Christians/Satanists have strict rites that must be followed. Over time though, if you keep the faith and learn; you too will come to know what is needed, and what is not.

So it's up to the whim of the entity if he'll answer to a name or not? what of those that are contacted, and they give you their name as being one thing...is there a way to know if they are telling the truth or not, any tests from an insiders point of view? *winks*

if it is as easy as thinking, "the will of the mage" so to say, than why are there not more issues of new people running into such entities...wouldn't they just be swirling around the outer sphere waiting for their name to be called...

is it the same for gods, and is enochian really the lost language of angels, or just a creation of an amazingly creative mind?

Awfully fun is what you call something which is a potentially lethal spiritual creature that might or might not rob you of your soul, if indeed that even exists..?

I'm just..baffled by how people can believe in most forms of magic. Yes things like this ARE possible, but most of the time nothing happens, and when it does the people are either high, drunk, or making it up in their heads..

Yes, it is rather convient isn't it? That's why most go with the tried and true "lesser demons." Small in power who are easily called forth. (Think of Buffy, the one where the demon was called forth on Halloween, 3 inches tall yelling "Fear me!")

People run "into" these beings all the time. What do you think temptation is? Who is that little voice in your head telling you to go ahead, take the candy... no one's looking. And yes, they are also sitting around watching the grass grow in a nother dememtion awaiting a link back to this reality. Some can not enter this realm without help. These generally will do things for you and then turn on you quickly.

Enochian language was first intruduced in the Book of Enoch, a hidden book from the Hebrew bible. No one really knows if this language is true or not, but there are stories in the Bible stating that angels did come to earth to teach women magic. Whose to say that wasn't left over from the ancient times? Using it in magic has proven effective for enough people to assume that it has some power to it.

are you talking about magick in the commercialized charmed/the craft sense...that is almost always...enhanced. But that's my opinion...i feel magick is more subtle, more natural, influencing the natural energies that are already there to give them guidance, drawing favorable energies in, repelling negative energies...that to me is magick, not fortune teller tricks.

i do believe in entities...just because a conscience form of energy exists, doesn't mean it needs a body...and if it's an older energy, naturally it'll know more than i do...so there you have demons, devils or anything else that entity decides to name itself...but that's just my belief and opinion in this realm...

I don't agree that devils will turn on you as soon as they are able, i have a few personal ones that still lurk about...sadly some i don't see as often as i'd like to...busy lives and all But are they really evil, or is it just the bible's portrayal of them being evil?
