I personally find it STUPID that christians wear a cross..

Romans created cross to kill people.. people murder jesus on cross.. people feel bad.. and wear cross?

Christians say that the people who murdered jesus will "never get away with it". BUT if they had not murdered Jesus then the humans would not have been "forgiven of their sins". So in a way they are all glad that jesus was brutally murdered.

and what sins are they talking about? would I have been born sinful if jesus wasnt killed?

Somewhere along the line, they figured it would just be easier to make it its own symbol. Christ probably wasn't crucified on a cross that looked like that, he probably was put on something more like an X than a T.

As for christians who wear the cross, they do it as a symbol of their faith, and the sacrifice made for humanity by Jesus. Notice I said "humanity", not just for people who believe he was the actualy the son of God. It clearly states this in the Bible, John 3:16. The Catholic cross differs in appearance from the Penticostal cross in the fact that they show Christ still hanging from it, whereas Penticostal's believe in Christ's ressurrection after the third day, essentially having conquered death. This is why he is not present on it in any forms.

No it did not come from the Ankh...... it had nothing to do with the Ankh at all..... the Egyptians kept the Jews as slaves.... though you are correct that the Roman crucifixion at the time was in the form of an X and not a lower case t...... the Egyptian Ankh is a fertility symbol which designates immortality through procreation.... the Christian Cross is a symbol of Death.....

Oh, yeah, it was the Egyptians, wasn't it? Cults of Isis and Osiris were, at that time, far spread, even far away from their homeland. And who spent two decades in the desert? Yeshua did, that's who! Are you seriously telling me that you are so hard-headed that you can't accept that there was the tinniest possibility that when Jesus came out of the desert, he could have been wearing an ankh?
