Couldn't they be just because they were cast into the pit, does not mean they have to hate "god's creations...they aren't always lurking near you, but when you need them the most, they have a way of stopping by to tap you on the shoulder and say "hey I'm here, I'll see you around, just think of me if you need anything" Just a thought...

Of course, it depends what you mean by "guardian angel." May I say that I do not share your typically female over-romanticised view of either angels or Life In General and therefore probably cannot supply the answer that you wished to your question. However, going on the ideas of Man, it follows thus:

Devils, by deffinition, are "evil," having chosen to fly down into Hell with Satan, and so on. As Heaven/Hell is outside the normal temporal pattern of the Earth they cannot say that they were cast there as Devils later on, or due to actions on Earth, for they in truth have been there since the Heavenly Schism. Therefore, and using the typical deffinition of a "guardian angel" as a protector and a guide; even, perhaps, a servant; Devils - or beings of Hell - cannot possibly be considered such. Furthermore, to take the common view of the Heavenly Schism and of Devils/Satan, the very reason that they were/are cast into Hell was because they refused to be subservient to humans (i.e. be guardian angels).

To follow up more on your apparant interest in Devils and Demons, Jordyn, I would heartily and sincerely recommend the book "The Screwtape Letters," by that most emminent and excellent of Christian Writers, C. S. Lewis. The book is a compilation of "letters" written by a senior Devil - Screwtape - to his young nephew Wormwood, who is just beginning his career as a Demonic tempter. The book discusses Devils' methods for tempting men away from Christianity and into the pits of Hell, picking up "What Christianity Really Is" (Lewis' view) on the way.

And is that not the reason that proves the downfall of his roleplay - unless, of course, his outward - and apparantly attractive, though I cannot think why - nature is a sham. The fact remains that by their very nature, "Devils" are evil and the closest things bar its actuality - Satan - to pure evil at that.

Devils as in the uber demons? Cause if that's what you mean then no.... they're too powerful to be put forth to do anything that lowly except perhaps protect the lord of hell...

I voted "yes", because in my beliefs, demons and angels are manifestations of the same beings. Just as black and white are manifestations of the class "color".

So yes, they too, can be guardians. The devil can be tricked into good, just as the angel into evil.

actually they take great offense at refering to them as demons...they do prefer devils or even angel, master anything flattering really, (they love having their egos stroked)...and they to have free choice, being as powerful as they are...and demon's do what they are ordered but that's a whole different class of demonic...entity...at least that's what I've been told

Indeed he was. Did you never realise that? The Christian God, according to them creationists, created everything. Therefor, he must also have created the concepts of good and evil. Therefor, he must have understood those concepts. Therefor, he must be both...

Surely, therefore, however, (oh yeah, always wanted to do that...) you were wrong to say "Yes" as by the very deffinition of "Devil" - according to your beliefs - they are incapable of good and are "hell bent on human destruction." The survey reffers to Devils - not the inner being which may or may not be the same as that of an angel.

If one has a guardian angel, then they must also have a "guardian" demon. Things, in my opinion, always balance that way.
Those old cartoons are brought to mind; with the characters having both a demon and an angel; their separate conciences... And if you see the demon to be the right choice, then they are, in effect; your guardian "angel"...
