You posted a group of photos showing churches on fire and added supportive commentary for their burning. The warning stands.

Also, you're providing support for your argument that the Devil, "the father of the lie," as you yourself put it, from a holy text written well after the time you say the Devil took over the church. Hence, it's written with his influence. Way to construct a self-defeating argument...

I've heard a lot of religious people go on about 'organized religion' being bad...

I as an athiest think all religion is bad....A mass delusion is maintained through the reading of a book of fiction just as you get those who obcess about LOTR (who knows if people will believe LOTR really happened in a few hundred years).....If you only need the book...as the books say you do.....Then burning churches....Under the control of rather sinister human figures who claim to have a 'special link' with a God....Would be a good idea.

Beliver or not....The church is under the control of corrupt humanity...You can see in the modern world how it holds us back...keeps men in power who control people through their 'divine authority'...It would seem to me that if the only valid Divine Authority were seen to be from God 'itself'...Talking to the people En Masse....This would remove a lot of shit from the world.

The history of The Popes reads like a lesson in crime and debauchery...And yet they claim 'infallibility'....The Muslim Imams are just as bad.....It seems to me that if you want to listen to God..Do so...but stop listening to people talking 'on behalf' of a God....

ok i think the person who started this thread. needs to explain more about it. so that the rest of us could understand it a bit more. i'm still lost. all i got from it is that people are wearing white costumes and burning down churches.

but the question is

what did a church ever do to you?

I deal in metaphors....I'd be fine with churches being social/cultural centeres..just not brainwashing centres for the masses...I love churches...It's funny that it takes mental manipulation on the scale of a religion to gather people together to create a decent architectural construction....You can go on about any new building you like but the complexity and high quality of craftsmanship that went into Cathedrals is beyond compare....

Although the cause is not positive some of the effects can be....

Church architecture is nice, but its not beyond compare, there are lots of cool buildings in the world.

There's a cool church back home that I love that is (unfortunately) being unused right now.......beautiful stained glass windows, hand-painted-Sistine-type-chapel painting on the ceilings, and a working organ with choral box in the back of the church. It was decommissioned a few years ago because of soaring prices of fuel to heat it and the fact that there was about 10 people over 80 still attending.

I'd be sad if something happened to it........they've been talking about making it a restaurant (which would be stupid!)
