actors have lots of money. scientology requires a lot of financial contributions to move up in their rank system, or what ever you want to call it. it's easy for an actor to buy their way into heaven and forget about how empty their soul feels.

This isn't the first time he's mouthed off in public about his passion for Scientology.

From what I gather, their creation theory is basically thus:
Billions and billions of years ago, our whole galaxy was controlled by a race of aliens that began to want to overthrow their system of rule. So the leader gathered them all together on earth and blew up all the volcanoes and killed them all.
And if that wasn't hokey enough... The alien spirits are still hovering around and embodying us today. But what I didn't catch was if you wanted to have an alien ghost inside you or not. I didn't care enough to pay that much attention.
