i've been using it for over a year and never had an issue with it

You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Remember Kids,

When searching for virii eradication software, choose:

1) Accurate and new pattern and defs,
2) Low-level execution, ie: VB AV sucks vs. ASM AV...
Low price and quick execution VS. spiffy graphics and lagged execution.

I suggest quick execution due to the fact that most people with 120 GB HDDs and less then 3 Ghz CPU refuse to wait the 15 min for McAffee to finish scanning.
