I was discussing this with ShotDownStar and I thought it might be a good idea to make a design and or logo for possible convention t-shirts. In town there is a T-shirt company that gives big discounts to military personel so I figured I could supply the t-shirts. Yes we have Darkforum t-shirts but for those that attend the Darkforum Convention will have the opportunity to purchase a Convention T-shirt. (be an easy way to keep everyone together, and find those who wander off good memorabilia also.) If you have any ideas or suggestions for t-shirts get ahold of me via pm or email. Any designs or logos are welcome also.

But I think darkforum con t-shirts is kind of a neat idea.

But the first question is..... color? Long sleeved or short? I can order half and half but I think i will make a poll for these things. please any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Color? I think the majority of people are going to want black. Long-sleeved shirts usually cost a bit more than short sleeve shirts. So that's something to think about....

yes that is true but in this case it really isn't going to matter because of the discount, and since it is a large group of people that are attending, it will cost less than usual.

Now, I could get you a discount, but its going to look damn weird when I request this. Also, even with a discount, if you take the number of people in DF into consideration, then mulitply it by two (To be safe), you'd need that many shirts. Umm...thats a lot. Now, granted not everyone is going to want one, to be safe in the business world, thats what you'd have to do. Unless you're going to piss off someone and go "Well, uh, he got the last one. Sorry". Anywho...I'm out.

There are more than 18,000 registered members of DF. We aren't going to need 36,000 shirts. Probably more like 100 for the con. And 200 or so for everyone else.

you really think we're gonna get that many people? and DE can get a really really great deal on shirts around her area, what with her great looks and militairy ID.

You figure we have 30 people come to the convention. People might want 2 shirts.. Right?

yeah i was thinking like 50 or 60 shirts, cause not everyone's gonna want one. and if we run out we can always take orders and get more printed and get adresses to send em out and whatnot

or if we have extras they could be sold on the forum.

Ha ha I doubt looks have anything to do with it, but the discount is a good thing. Since many of the squadrons around the base have activites and such things, the tshirt co. in town LOVES us. I mean come one... we have at least 550 in my squadron and that's a bunch of fuckin' t shirts.

I already spoke with someone about this and as long as we have a design and an estimate on how many shirts we will need a month ahead of the convention, the shirts will be ready to go. Granted the tshirts may be $10-15 a piece but that is about 50 times $15 that I have to pay upfront... plus the tax and crap, but with a discount it shouldn't be to bad, I just hope I don't get screwed with 4 boxes of fucking t shirts.

Just design the shirts, and if people want em they can order em off the internet with no cost to anyone except the person making the purchase.

That's not a bad idea, fr0g. But I think it'd be cool to have some actually AT the convention to buy.

If you wanna spend the jack, then do what you gotta do. Personally, I'm a big fan of "free".

i kinda like that, and we could make the design available before the con. people can purchase the tshirts before and have them there if they want.

I don't plan on wearing my shirt AT the convention. I most likely won't wear it at all. I just want to have one. I have a darkness.com shirt. I don't wear it. I like having it.
