The zodiac killer was definitely the est. I cat elieve he sent the a letter right after he got out of jail that was hillarious, i was on the floor for hours.

You would have to go a long way to find a better serial killer than Jack the Ripper. A class act.

they never caught the zodican killer, they still have no idea to this day who he truly is, the case is unsolved, so what are you talking about?

this names you all have been saying are the "well known" serial killers... sure they all are "legendary" and will probably known for years and years to come but what about all the other serial killers?.
some of the ones i have read up on are couples, kinda like team killers. most of them are sick... i guess i can name a few like sante and kenny kimes. they were a mother and son team. they were con-artist, murders, and also lovers. or what about henry lee lucas and ottis toole. some people knew them as the killer lovers. lucas was the pedo of the two... i guess you could even consider him a a necrophiliac . he loved small children, and his best friend/lover toole was a cannibal and a pyro. there was even a time when i think one of there nieces had went with them. the rason why i remember the niece was cause lucas ends up killing her and has sex with the corpse.
and then there is jeffrey dahmer, my favorite to read about of all the serial killers i've heard off. i mean this guy found pleasure in hacking people to pieces and saving body parts. sure he didn kill hundres of peole, but the few he did kill, were completely twisted. and his victims were men. this guy would even take pictures of what he did. he was like lucas in the way that he would have sex with the bodies after they were dead. then he would go as far as dismembering them...
but i guess he one thing that sticks to my mind about this guy is that he had this one victum who lived for two days , after he had drilled a hole in his head, and even poured some kind of poison or acid into the skull. and to me it is so hard to believe that a guy who killed people in such an (wow this is gonna sound sick) "artistic" way was simply killed by a beating in prison. guys like this are usually the ones that go out on the electric chair, or some kind of shoot out...
i guess i find stories about serial killers interestng....

oh and if you wanna read up about a classic killer you should read about vlad tepes also known as "vlad the impaler".
he was a "vampire" of his time. he had a lust for blood and pain/ torture... :c)

Vampyres, Dracula was real, he was a king, we cant say for sure if he was an actul vamp but it is true that he had a castle. And at one time was seen practing vampyric habits, but drinking ones own blood in tose times was a sign of health , so why not others.

i would call myself a 'fan' in that i enjoy reading about the various exploits of serial killers and 'creative' murderers (cf. Armin Miewes). the only problem is that it is hard to find accounts of murders or even ideas of motive, interviews w/ the killer, whatever. the majority of the stuff around (esp. on the 'net) is news reports or culled from news reports and tends to revolve around courtroom appearances.

does anyone know of a site or a book which details murders, lives, motives, the sort of stuff that we aren't normally told about?
i would greatly appreciate anything around.
