Floods everywhere. (O_O) anyone else have an abundance of water?

im in north eastern PA... the shit town im in evacuated up to the school. my uncle's family is camped out in my living room cause their house is trashed with water. the insurance company canceled their flood policy a day before it started, lol. id be pissed.

Nope. We've gotten lots of rain, of course..but no flooding. I did get poured on while I was walking from the parking lot to the Blossom Music Center though (I swear it seems like a mile walk). I was pretty pissed, considering I had just spent two hours getting ready.

its not supposed to stop here until Friday. going to be one hell of a time, I predict.

It's raining here (north-central NJ)...it wasn't much really earlier, just some drizzle. Then around the time I first saw this thread posted, I felt chilly and realized it vas vindy und pourink outside. We haven't gotten flooding at all.

It's been raining for months here in New Hampshire, so naturally there has been some major flooding throughout the state.

North Eastern part, right by the border. I'm in a little county called Susquahanna. The only city nearby that would be even vaguely heard of is Scranton.

Okay, I have a friend that lives up that way, probably closer to Wilkes-Barre, actually. I haven't heard a peep out of her about it though I haven't talked to her much over the last few days, and I think she would DEFINITELY be complaining if she couldn't get around.

Wilkes isn't too far from here, so I imagine it's the same shit. You could check the weather at wnep.net, if you want. They'll list what counties are falling to shit and evacuating.

UPDATE: My uncle's family's house was officially swept away. (they sayed here last night)

I've actually heard of Susquahanna. I think I heard about it being flooded on the news.

Meanwhile, we're having our fifth straight day of high 90s weather over here...we'd take some of that rain if we could.

If you've got flooding everywhere and you're staying somewhere else because of the flooding, why leave your pet behind? That seems a bit silly.

It would take a flood of biblical preportions to cause me any concern with flooding. There are too many ways for the water to leave the area for it to really be a concern, you know living in a mountainous area and all

Chaos: I just heard from that friend I had mentioned, and she is VERY upset. She was safe enough at her home though I think she lost a lake house they own, and I think she's more upset about the people in the area who had to be evacuated. She said she was crying.

ANd people wonder why I say mother nature is pissed

i think we got it all for the last two weeks, you'd think we were in seattle...but we're back to hoping for more rain too...it'll make for a pleasantly low fire season if we stay out of drought level.
