I recall a small movie about this. A box, with a button on top, delivered by a man... Who would give a poor couple a million dollar, if they would push that button. "If you push this button, somewhere on this world, a person will be killed, and I will be back in the morning with a million dollar for you."
In the end, they took the box apart, to find there was nothing inside. Then they decided to push the button anyway. The next morning, the man came back, gave them a suitcase with a million dollar, and requested the buttonbox back. "After all, there will be another, who shall push your button..."
... and with laughter he left.
I liked the movie. But to answer the original question: I do not know. It would depend on the circumstances. At present, I think I would. I could save more then one life with the million... Thus the greater good lies with the killing. But if no financial problems I would have, then I would not.
