me and my brother were driving to my aunts house when we passed a club. it was a minor's only club and the sign said "Ages 12 to 18".

......now i, myself, am just 16. and when i'm old enough to have children, and i don't know about anyone else, but i sure as hell would not want my 12 year old with an 18 year old in an unsupervised club. especially after what i saw.

there was a line cause they weren't open yet and i saw a girl of at MOST 14, open her big coat only to have on a baby blue tube top and black leather shorts. did i mention the knee-high boots.

now, i have only to assume that the big coat was to hide the lovely outfit from her parents, but it makes me think. what the hell is wrong with people today? that they would even allow a girl dressed like that to even enter the club. and why they would even have a club with such an age range?

i'm not saying that i'm the model teenager. i'll admit, i smoke, i drink on occasion. but i've never done anything to the extent to put me in danger like that stupid little girl. when it comes to cloths, i'm practically a nun. i don't like short sleeves or tight shirts, if i ever wear them, i have a sweater over it. i never wear anything about the knee. be it shorts, skirts or dresses, nothing above the knee. hell nothing above the ankle if i can. if i ever wear anything outside those guidelines, it's either at home, my aunt or friends house. NEVER IN PUBLIC like aforemention poster girl for the child porn industry.

this might be moved to the bitch board, but i don't care. it's just that when i see shit like that, it makes me sick.

so back to my original questiom, would you let your child go to a club like that, or would you rather have it closed down?

I wouldn't really care what my child wore because it's their life. Dress is such a small issue now days. There are worse things to deal with such as alcohol, drugs, smoking, and illegal activitys. At least the teens had a place to go. I'm not saying that they don't do any of those things. But as long as the club was supervised...(and I'm sure that one was because it was an underage club.) I would feel as though they were safe.

But that's just me...

from what my friends told me, it's not supervised. i found out that it's supposed to be, but hasn't really been for years. they stopped caring i guess. and i never said drinking and smoking weren't as bad. they are possibly worse.

and i have no problems with letting people learn from experience, hell, it's been the only way to get the point across to me sometimes. but i think that there is soem things that they should not have to experience.

are you trying to say that you would let your daughter be in a situation where she could be raped or killed,(knowing that you could have stopped it or at least tried) just so she can learn from experience not to do it again? that's my question.

i know that i'll mostlikly get killed by smoking and my mom has tried to stop me. so if something happens, i know that shits on me because she tried to stop it from happening.

Shit. You can say dress is a small issue these days but I can assure you my daughter would not be walking out of my house wearing something that I myself would not wear. If she wants to follow the "punk" or "goth" trends, hell...even the Tommy Hilfiger or what-not, she can have at it. But I will not allow my daughter to dress like a slut.

That is something that could just as easily happen right in your own home... as a matter of fact most rapes and murders are committed by someone the person knew.... and right in thier own homes....

Hey, I live in South Florida! There are 10 yr. olds having babies! I don't think clothing is much of a major issue right now as for the baby thing... Besides, I'm not going to worry about it since I'm not having children in a long time. And, I don't dress like that, so needless to say, I have yet another thing not to worry/care about...

hehe i am 17, and i cant say i would go there. i cant stand most of the people who show up to those things. and the one that was around here, they changed the hours dramatically because even though they were supervised, it still became somewhat of a drug haven for these kids. Friend i have that used to go there a few had been drugged. Acid ecstacy "skittles" alcohol etc... lots of stupid shit like that. damn lil raver wanna be kids

but i would never let my child dress like that. i tend to think i dress rather conservatively i dont like shorts i occasionally wear a tank top or two but nothing real low cut or anything and they all have rather wide straps. i dont enjoy revealing clothing. and i get a kick out of how fucking SHORT "shorts" are. if i wanted to buy shorts, i wouldnt ever be able to find shorts i wanted. they are slightly oversized underwear. i just cant get over it. that is why for the most part i stopped wearing shorts. I started wearing guy shortsand i rarely do that. anyway im getting off track.


If i had a child and i trusted his/her judgement and over all trusted them, i would let them. if i knew my kid was dumb as rocks, that lil punkass sonofabitch would stay at home and watch cinderella or something. lol... but i wouldnt be happy with them wanting to go. but i know if i'd said no, they'd go anyway.
