I was checking this up and came across some very bizzare people trying to get into the Guiness Book of Records here goes.
A Japanese man inspired by the GC ads has sealed himself inside an eight foot square cube fo a year, he is being sponsered by Nintendo and when he comes out he'll get a free GC and a load of games.
A man in germany has locked himself inside a portable toilet for two years to beat the previous record held by a friend of his, he'll be doing his office work by laptop.
A woman in china has said she will not move off a 3X3 foot square in order to get into the GBWR until they acknowledge here.
A man in france has offered to ride a roller coaster tlonger than anyone has and hopes he'll make it to a year. However hes a newly wed so this may lead to some problems 
So would you be so desprate to get in to try these stupid things? | |

Well, over here in Puerto Rico, a woman was encouraged by a Local TV channel to lock herself in a "house of crystal" inside a shopping mall. she stayed there for 60 days!! and ppl all over the island went to see her in the mall(trying to see if she's taking a bath in the clear tub).
after that the sponsor payed her with 20,000 dollars for her effort.
what people would do for money...

Uhm.... just one question... those people who are sealed inside a cube and shit... what the fuck do they eat? And that one in the porta potty is WAY smarter... 'cept it's gonna get REALLY stinky, and sleeping would suck. Plus I don't think I'd be very hungry either. LoL Having the laptop though... that would rule. I'd do it if I could have a laptop. But the dude that's sealed in.. he's gonna be shitting all over the place, that's fucking disgusting. And that lady that won't move from a 3x3 foot square, she's gonna be covered in shit an' piss too. These people are sick.

What ever happened to the good ol' days when you had to stuff cocktail onions up your nose to win? Huh? Huh? (The record, now closed, is 19)
My all time fave is a three way tie: the mentally ill woman that swallowed 947 bent pins; the World's Tallest Man, who, at the time, was 8' 11" when he died at age 23 (Robert Wadlow) and the world's Heaviest Man who was 1,069 lbs when he died from uremic posioning and a bad heart (yeah, I know...who would've thought THAT health nut would kick off?)
