Of course. I like violent movies and such, I just don't like taking out my pain on others. I don't think it makes me a bigger man, more of an ass hole.

Whenever I want to relax, I take a bath and read (I don't like showers for some reason... probably because you can't read in them unless you're trying way too hard) or listen to music while lying on my bed in the dark, drawing, or writing lyrics. Usually I listen to loud, angry music, sometimes I feel like completely letting go and listen to Sting. He's always been one of my favorite artists.

Every once in a while I play Unreal Tournament on practice mode with unlimited time-- I turn my mind off and let instinct and reaction take over.

well i either take a bath. or i'll sit in the shower with my clothes on untill i cool off. i'm not joking i seriously do this. after that i feel perfectly fine. or i'll just lay down and listen to music on my bed in the dark. or hang out with a friend and do something. don't really know if any of this would count as a sanctuary.

lately and unlikely, my own mind/thoughts.

Lately it seems that I haven't been afforded the luxury of having sanctuary... see that's the interesting this about a shitty situation - generally speaking, it doesn't go on hold just because you do.

I suppose if there were places that I could consider a sanctuary it would be with Sapphire & Crypt or at the gym draining myself of any physical energy that could inflict a whole lot of damage on others...

I used to go out in my parents backyard---- it was an orchard--- and lie on the ground on my back and watch the stars while running random words through my head..... sometimes those random words would begin to make sense.... i considered it communing with whatever was out there...... now I just write.... and write some more....

So it would now be my own head......

Weird, when I actually thought about this I do actually go to Durham Cathedral to find solace and peace. I am in no way a God squad member, but there is something about that place that calms and soothes my pain. It makes it more bareable and I can sit there and cry without being judged or distrubed. I often light candles for those I care for and those I've lost...

My sanctuary is Darkforum.com, without a doubt. I hate you guys, but I find peace in the colors and tables and fonts and shit.

I would go to the barn and ride and just be with my horse...But right now i can't do that cuz it hurts really bad that i cant ride...

So really i just go over to my gym...blast music and workout like a crazy bastard until i'm calm...which usually takes hours...

That or i go for a drive and blast music and yell at other people and make up my own roads and drive really fast and i usually come home with a smile and laughing...
