But at times psychics have the ability to get this kind of "insight" and may be able to see visions of a past life. When one does regression therapy you actually relive your past live(s).

I might sound awfully ignorant involving my eras and such but I believe I was alive in England during one of the centuries in which they wore those elegant ball gowns and such. I don't know why...I am not a person who likes to 'dress up' unless I absolutely have to, but I adore dresses of the victorian design. I wish I had enough money to have closets full and just prance around my house wearing them.

I believe when one has a phenominally strong sensation, feeling, affection, attraction to a certain era, city, or country then more than likely it's one you've actually lived in!

My mother used to have a dream nearly every night that she was trapped in this long tunnel filling with water. When she reach a ladder to climb up and out of the tunnel, a lid was slammed and she usually woke up.

I would freak out if I had a dream like that more than once. I had a dream I got shot in the forehead the other night...It freaked me out all day because I thought it was a sign someone was going to come kill me.

I wouldn't dismiss precognitive dreams, but I also do believe past live "residue" as I would call them, manifest in our present day dreams. Dreams can be about so many things, symbolism to encourage helping with present day issues, fears manifesting in imagery to make us relate to them easier... etc. But I do believe that past life images come into dreams, and can do often. Especially with a dream like the one your mother has, that certainly sounds like it could be about a past life!
The one about you being shot could be about a few different things, depending on the rest of the dream.

I don't happen to believe in past lives, however, considering the fact that I had a habit of killing small animals as a child, I probably would have been some sort of mass murderer in the past.
