By the title I tought you meant: "..to do their assignments." Can you imagine no backspace, no spell check, having to think of paragraph lenghts and edition before you ever started to type? I still type one finger at a time! Put me back in 1978 and I'd be dead in a week!

Well we have one at the house. I used it one time. Just to see what it was like to use a typewritter. The only thing that I hated about using a typewritter was that I couldn't see what the hell I was typing. We have a different typewritter and it's sitting in my brother's room.
