What happend?
Where was darkforum for like 2 or 3 weeks, was there hackers (Iheard that)?
I also heard Shyshy was banned, I dont care that much but once again WHY?

so let me get this right,Sire,the previous owner of the board,who is also thirty something,forty something had nothing better to do,than to hack an online forum?alright, Im sold.

If you know how to do it, it doesn't take that much time. It's not like he had something better or worse to do.

As far as his age? You obviously have no friends who are over the age of 25. Nobody ever grows up, dunno if you got that memo. The owner of this board is extremely young and, as far as I can tell, runs the board with a fist of jello and coolwhip.

Cliques are allowed to freely harass each other. Idiots are allowed to use improper grammar and spelling, and you get banned for the most mundane reasons, which don't even relate to the guidelines of the board, but to the guidelines of the ones given power.

You also choose where you are. If you want to be a mod, you can suck ass and make "friends" and it's a done deal.

Eh, Ive seen this board split so many times, Its nothing dramatic to me.People come and go,but the old users will return.If not soon,then later.
Then a big revolt will happen,and some users will make goodbye threads,and threads like "it used to be cool here" "What happened to DF heritage?" and "The admin. is a dictator."It happened with sire,and now its happening with garg. Then the users that chose to leave will make another online board.Ezboards,proboards,activeboards,pretty much anything below a VBulletin board.Invite everyone they liked over PM,then maybe less than a dozen will show up posting,and things will stay weird for a while.The other board ends up being low budget,and there are talks of an upgrade,then everyone just gets sick of posting at the crappy board.They will end up coming back when everything has died off, or when they get tired of playing along.Whatever comes first. The other board will get lost forever in the depths of cyberspace.Then,everything will be cool on Darkforum once again.

Well,thats what usually happens anyway.

It still amuses me how much turmoil can result from a place on the Internet where people come to post opinions on subjects. Really. It's like watching the British Parliament on C-SPAN...

I like watching British Parliament on C-SPAN. They talk an awful lot of shit to eachother. The American Senate/Congress don't do that shit. I love it.

And SpaceGhost is pretty much dead on the money. In the 4 years (or close enough) this message board has been around, this shit has happened several times. Only this time I didn't get banned. For a change. It'll all blow over eventually, and everything will go back to normal. Garg isn't anything like Sire. He's just.. garg.

And Soul Erosion, I don't believe you know Sire. He's much too prissy to hack this place himself. If he had anything to do with it, he had someone ELSE take care of the dirty work.

several things


1. sire has denied any responsibility concerning the down time of this board, and he did even let garg know he'd help if garg needed him to.

2. spaceghost and wicked lady are entirely correct concerning this board...and that's coming from a moderators point of view...

3. not all moderators were or have been chosen for being "liked" or kissing anyone's derier, at least not in my case...and i know other moderators who haven't always been so well received by the previous administration...they've been chosen because they are active enough on the board to keep everyone else informed of anything that may need conveyed, wonderful at keeping discussions going, and know their boards well...

if you think so lowly of this place, why do you post...there's always http://get-me.to/kmfdf they think we suck too!
