I have to add that people that travel into space at high speeds actually time slows down for them... So I think it was einstien that thought of this but Im not sure.... Apparently, the theory is that if you travel faster than the speed of light its not impssible to go back in time but nobody has actually done that yet.... Its not impossible and there is evidence backing that theory up.....

A clock isnt a time machine, its a machine to measure time. However, because like us the clock is always travelling into the future, i guess it could be considered a time machine. So by that logic, any machine is therefore a time machine. Just think, im typin out this reply on a time machine.

ok, jeez, im no einstein and i wont claim to be one. I will try however to explain how that works.

Just checkin, you do know what a lightyear is right? If ya don't it's a measurement of how far light travels in one year. Well, ok, here we go I guess.

Take a look up at the sky during the night. If theres not to much light from your surroundings, you can see the stars. Alot of those stars are many lightyears away. Say you look at a star that is 3 lightyears away. The light your eyes use to make up the image that represents that star is about three years old. So your actualy looking back into the past three years. Now, for travelling faster then light. Say someone traveled at twice the speed of light. If the traveled at twice the speed of light for 1 year, then the light from wherever they came from would take two years to get where they are after travelin for a year. Get it? If not im sorry, cause thats the best i can explain it.

I'm no Einstien either.. so... with that concept you would just be percieving the past again (if you move faster than light) without actually being able to change it.. because light only causes us to be able to see things..

and.. if someone does move that fast.. would that mean that the laws of physics will change for that person? because if they don't.. that persons going to run straight into something

well, i doubt the laws of physics will change for someone just because they are moving faster than light. LOL, it would be funny to see someone go SPLAT at twice the speed of light hehe. I dont think they would however. I havent gotten far enough in high school school physics to really describe what im about to say, so ill use an example

You know how a bullet will go through an apple even though the bullet has less inertia than the apple? It would kinda be like that i guess, the craft which the person traveling in at twice the speed of light would be the ultimate bullet, prolly passing right through stuff like stars and planets and other spacial bodies
