I think he's just trying to defend a fellow fur, thereby defending himself. It's cool, though; people tend to protect their kind. Nothing wrong with that. I just think he kinda morphed it into a flamewar, and I hate flamewars.

You know that's not what I said I was going for. I never said I was. You're doing exactly what you're chastizing me for doing: contributing nothing. You're just insulting me now, and making yourself appear of my ilk, which is what I'm sure you don't want to be. The funny part is that my point was never to denounch lily; it was to get her to actually explain herself, which no one of her type had done before. It was genuine inquisition. I think believe that after a gaff on my part, you sail in and start in on your very subtle insultfest.

You can be whatever you want; no one cares, as you said. I preach the this-is-just-the-Internet thing all the time, but all that means is that you shouldn't take things seriously. I, for one, am not.

You're kind of resorting to them too, though. What you call "truths" in this case really are just insults, and I think you know that... bearing in mind your definition of "insult" is the same as mine. I just think it's something designed to make someone feel like crap.

I didn't say he hadn't insulted her, I said it wasn't a petty insult.

Petty insults tend to be as following:

'You smell'
'Yo mom'
'Eat shit'
'You're gay'

etc.

It's his opinion that lily is a bitch, as you said before opinions aren't necessarily fact, so why get het up over it?

You keep interfering with an altercation that has, as it happens, nothing to do with you. He didn't call you a bitch.
If they want to call each other names then so what? No need for you to take offence.

Maybe it would be a cool idea to not keep on like a dog at a bone (unless of course it's another canine characteristic of yours) because mainly, it's silly, and gets you nowhere except, as anti said, into a flame war.

Actually, I had already started writing before that post appeared. Just found it ironic, that's all.

I wasn't offended by anything. I just offered explanation from someone who _knows_, and refuted the "you can't know what an animal is feeling" claim, which I found to be ridiculous.
