what are your views on the new smoking laws?

i think it only refers to my state, it may affect others as well, but they are trying to raise the age of smoking legalties to 21.

Its a pathetic law. What good does the 21 year old drinking age accomplish? Does it stop anyone from drinking? Fuck no. Infact I myself had drank so many times that by the time I turned 21, I was already bored with drinking.

The way I see it, is if you are old enough to be drafted or "die for your country". If you are old enough to be tried as an adult, to be put on deathrow. If you are old enough to have your vote in elections, taken seriously. Then you are old enough to decide if you're going to smoke or drink. Jesus christ....

The only thing that law will cause, is more corner store theft and further the depression in the world of gawths

We have laws here. We can't smoke in any public place between 6AM and like 10 PM.

If only they'd pass stuff like that around here. When I do so seldom go out, some places are so bad that I can't breathe . . . . I've established in other threads on similar material that I may as well be allergic to smoke. I end up coughing to death and almost vomitting and sometimes becoming so weak as to make me unable to hold myself up . . . . basically it's no good and I have to just crawl back into my dark hole of a basement and become more of a cliche . . . .

I don't give a damn if you want to smoke, just don't you DARE do it around me or even SMELL like it around me . . . .

Well... It was about 3am, so there weren't many people. But I have to say, at the time I had blue/black hair and dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep and an entire day of packing. So considering how I looked and the lack of stares or comments. They were pretty nice.

well, anyways i think its rediculouse. its like they think it wil decrease the cause of death due to smoking. if thats the reaon then why not put a legal age on eating junk food?

well over here in australia, they're trying to ban to smoking in all workplaces... or something stpuid like that...

oh and something else thats so stupid is funny... over here legal age to purchase smokes is 18... but legal age to smoke them is 16
