i was talking to my other brother, and he was telling me how he had a joint and went in to his backyard to water the garden he stepped on something and he heard a slight squeal or scream and he realized that he had stepped on a snail...
now has anyone .. uh heard or had any experiences like that??
i suggested to him that it could've been cuz he was a tad bit stoned and he insists that the magic green herbs make him more "sensitive"...

My uncle threw a few snails into the fire once. The shreiking sound they made was the trapped air inside either them or their shells being released.Could be similar.
Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.
As a kid, I used to crack the shells & peel them off live snails. Not to be a sicko, just curious what they looked like under the shell..they looked like a blob of mucus (eww!)
hm...during my childhood i lives in new zealand and i used to get shit loads of snails in the garden, i used to collect them in this mini wheel barrow thing i had, and then put them in an empty milk bottle with bag of salt and watch them froth up... then i'd leave it in the sun for a few days......

I used to pull off the proboscis (the tongue) of butterflies & rub off their scales. I also used to break off the hind legs of grasshoppers. Once I also spit on this grasshopper & watched it dry in the sun dying..I thought it would feel like a similiar fate if I pissed on it like acid.
Don't get me wrong, I love nature but who wasn't a bit mischievious as a kid?

I've done the snail & slug thing.. I've also sprayed a dozen wasps with fly spray 1cm from their body - which is incredibly cruel but hey.... I was young & intrigued..
Have you ever used a magnifying glass in the sun on a money spider?! It makes the squeakiest cutest little pop.
(But I only condone any of this if you are under the age of 10 - I think that is age justification!)
Everything passes away - suffering, pain, blood, hunger, pestilence. The sword will pass away too, but the stars will still remain when the shadows of our presence and our deeds have vanished from the earth. There is no man who does not know that. Why, then, will we not turn our eyes towards the stars? Why?
