So sorry to everyone that this competition fell by the wayside just as it was getting to be popular, a lot of that was to do with myself simply not having enough time to for it due to ongoing health problems.

I'd like to thank everyone who took part in the monthly competitions last year and say that I was very impressed (as where the other moderators) with all the entries we received. It was at times a very difficult competition to judge and just proved the wealth of talent we have here on this forum.

I'd like to start up this competition again and have run it by the other Moderators and Admin and they are eager to see it too. We'll be starting with a new competition as from the beginning of May, I just wanted to get it advertised to members a little early so you can have a chance to get out there with your camera's and snap away. With the lovely spring weather now coming you really don't have an excuse not to!

For the first new competition I have decided to do away with a theme and just let people enter images that they really like or are proud of. There are some new rules for this years competition and I have listed them below with the other rules member must remember to follow before entering.

Rules:

1. All work must be the members own and cannot be a rework or enhancement of anyone else's work.

2. Members are allowed to enter 3 images only.

3. Members must email all entries to myself at jobesp@yahoo.com with your images and member name(this is to so all entries can be anonymous and make judging and feedback on the images fairer)

4. Members must be aware that the images may be used in future promotion of the Darkforum website (last year's overall image is happily helping to promote the DF MySpace page).

5. Images must be PG13 and not contain scenes of a graphic nature or nudity.

6. Judges decision is final on all images being entered into the competition.

Each monthly winner will win a month's free overlord account here at Dark Forum. An Overlord account includes:

Increased Avatar Size(150x150)
Upload Profile Pic (300x300)
Increased PM Storage(200 PMs)
Your name in pretty red so people can tell you have Overlord status
Attach images everywhere

Also at the end of the year all the monthly winners will be entered into the 2006 Photograph of the Year with the winner receiving something special (still yet to be decided).

We're over halfway through the month and so far only 2 images have been entered into the competition

Please people there are some talented ones among you, I know as I've had to judge the previous competitions and it was never easy.

So when you are out and about over the next couple of weeks think about taking out your camera with you and taking a few shots for Dark Forum. Remember there is a months Overlord account for the winner, and all monthly winners will be entered into the end of year competition to win the coveted 'Photograph of the Year' with a mystery prize.
