i just finished watching momento (movie about some guy who's seeking revenge for his dead wife but he has no short term memory) (if you haven't seen it yet, do) and it got me thinking...

what would you do if you had no short term memory? what would you do if the last thing you could remember is no longer true?

well considering i would have no memory i wouldn't really care what it was i di as i wouldn't be able to remember it afterwrads.

What was the definition of short term memory that they used in the movie? Are we talking days, weeks? Did that mean he could only remember things that happened up until a certain point in his life, and not afterward?

I know quite a few people with little to no short term memory...they just smoke too much pot.

He could only manage a few minutes and could only remember clearly his life before he was hit on the head in a attack years ago.
I`d rely on instinct and fuck up a lot more than usual.
