O.k. this isn't going to be a rant till I get a few replies to this one. First go to these two websites, it has to do with a law here in america that you may or may not have heard of called the DMCA or Digital Millenium Copyright Act, signed into law in 1998: www.loc.gov/copyright/legislation/dmca.pdf this one is the actual law. http://anti-dmca.org this one explains the law in its fullest in layman's terms. The scary thing is that not 1 but 2 more laws like it currently in congress right now. After reading ask yourself this: WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE FIRST AMENDMENT!!????

O.k. just for you Evyl, brief description. On all new forms of electronics(MP3 players, dvd players, stuff like that) You can buy, and if it breaks, you have to take it to the people you bought it from, you cannot try to fix it yourself, and you cannot complain about it publically, and if you do, you can be fined, imprisioned, or both.

Sounds more like capitalism in decay than communism.They`re worrying more about the rights of comapnies more than the consumers.I dont see how they think they can get away with it.

If you fix it yourself, who's going to know? Second, most warranties actually have a clause that if the device has been tinkered with in any way, they won't work on it.
