I am not sure if it was actually meant for anyone. It might have just been a small blurb which is completely devoid of meaning. Of course it could also have more than just a few meanings. I suppose it would fall into accordance to where you are viewing it from To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. S.O.D. nobody denies you your right to feel. that's something you should take care of yourself; being so familiar with plato, you should be familiar with the trouble passions can cause. you aren't a cold intellectual, as both your posts have made glaringly obvious. if you want to be well loved by anyone, you have to know how to get along with people. don't pretend you can come here, be self-righteous and arrogant and make friends with us. do you see the logical fallacy there?
don't pretend others are so different from yourself. is it the fault of those who are lesser than you that they're that way? do you hate a dog for being a dog?
i certainly hope you're not trying to undermine john milton's paradise lost. if you are, all i can tell you is that you have no right to do so. milton understood human nature, and his work reveals that. judge not lest ye be judged.
your discourse on pride is laughable. i am a practicing satanist and amateur philosopher and believe i have a very deep understanding of pride. not all pride is good, youngwerther. pride is to you what religion is to those you say you despise: it's not ignorance, it's stupidity.
do you know what the difference between couage and audacity is? you can back courage up. you are audacious.
and i'm curious why you use the word exeunt? could you please explain that to me? | if you proclaim to have read paradise lost, then why have you quoted a proverb as if it came from the work? if you proclaim to be a satanist, then why are you denying the central tenet of satanism: pride! if you are an amateur philosopher, why don't you know what exeunt means?
in the latin verb exeo, which means "to leave or go out" there is a preterit stem exi-
in shakespeare, when a scene ends and characters leave the stage, the manuscript reads "exeunt", meaning, "they went out". i used it here a bit incorrectly, referring to the plural third person rather than the singular first person because the singular first person form is "exivi" which has no cultural connections that you would be familiar with and thus leave you stumped as to the meaning.
therefore, i used the more popularly known third person preterite form "exeunt" used in shakespeare (which you should have read), in order that you would get a hint of what i was getting at. i apologize for my techincal incorrectness, but there was really nothing else i could do.
taken shortly, it means "youngwerther went out" To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

oh yes, i'm going to enjoy this.
1. i can quote scripture whenever and wherever i want. actually, i don't give a shit whether you think i intended it as a quote from the book or not.
2. i do not deny pride, i understand pride. you understand nothing.
3. i know what exeunt means, i wondered whether you did. why not use the more common exit? you could have even used it with the third person. and my latin's a little rusty, and so is my shakespeare, but i don't think exeunt is an imperfect, perfect, or even a past at all. and i don't believe exit is either. although i do believe both appear in shakespeare's stage directions. you might look into that.
now, for my real counter-attack. if you meant to impress me and others by using latin, you were barking up the wrong tree. the language you use does not make what you say any more intellectual. ironically, you didn't even use it correctly (by your own admission).
prove your intelligence, not by argument but by example. what you've done so far is counter-productive.
screw you guys, i'm going home. (are you cultured enough to pick up on that, i wonder?) O divine art of subtlety and secrecy! I am totally with you on your first post (it sucks excelling without receiving recognition, and school is the worst for that b/c the attention goes only to the misbehavors & the, like, top 2% of overachievers); I think your later posts show a need for improvement in the social intelligence area, however. I think we'll be more likeley to appreciate knowledge through witty or informative use than through apology on its presence.

I took some difficult classes myself. But I still made it to honors- even tho I never went to the dinners- I was too busy studying.
I really didn't give a damn for the honors program myself- but my parents did- so I made them happy. Thus in turn I made myself a bit happier with the determination to get my A in class. But as I am- I think I should have gotten me double A's.lol
I know how well I could do in school- I didn't need any honors society to tell me I was smart.
But I will probably take honor classes in college cause in college its more meaningful.

I wanted to make NHS, because I wanted to have that on College/University Apps.

honors is overrated. i'm in 'honors' now, and the main difference between an honors student and a normal student here is that honors students are 3x more likely to burn popcorn in their dorm microwaves. that's it. the classes aren't any harder, you're just with people who ask fewer questions. ultimately, it's up to the student to learn everything, you're your own best teachers and professors can only make you want to learn. professors cannot teach anything. listen to them and teach yourselves. anyway, what i'm trying to say here is that being an 'honors' student isn't such a huge deal. don't sweat it. plus, no matter how much anyone tells you, nhs isn't the defining factor in your college applications. you'd be much better off writing a poem, story, doing a unique science fair project, joining an academic club/team or volunteering in the community (autonomously of school), or even getting a meaningful job than having a good enough gpa to be tagged an 'honors' student. trust me, the college will see your gpa either way. school sucks - learning is the good part. one thing i've learnt from the people i know who took "creative classes" like drama and writing and suchlike, is this... learn one line. because that's the line you'll be reciting for the rest of your life..
"do you want fries with that?"
and really, in the scheme of things, i think you should respect those people you bitched about who took shop, because on the day your plumbing fails and you're knee deep in shit. or when you get structural damage in your house, or you want some building work doing, or in the most common situation, you need a mechanic to work on your car, you'll be begging for these untalented idiots to be helping you.
(almost) everyone has their purpose in life. even if it's to be tripped over in the street and let you know your sense of smell still works.
also, certificates really don't mean much. it's knowledge and experience that matter.
once you leave college/university and try to get yourself a job, you'll find that 90% of employers don't care if you can quote what some smart guy said in a book. they need on site and on the job experience.
