i haven't really heard much about this dude and his call girl but, well, i guess important people don't have human urges or get lonely at all. it's an amazing thing and absolutely disgusting because no-one ever does it. oh well, scandals sell papers i guess.

The scandal was that he was the governor trying to bring morality back to the office, as attourney general he had been a part of many stings against prostitution, and being against it was a big part of his platform.

Think of it like nancy reagan starting the "Just Say No" campaign, and a few days later being spotted smoking a joint in the rose garden.

Yeah, or the former mayor of my hometown, who was constantly trumpeting himself as a family values, no gay rights kind of guy. Then he gets busted in a sting by the local paper chatting up gay teens from his office computer.

It's funny how the ones who make morality their big platform issue are usually the ones getting caught practicing the opposite of what they preach.

It's like anything else...if you deny something about yourself and don't at least admit it if not express it in some way, it'll just eventually bite you in the ass...sometimes literally and possibly for money, as in this case.
