so i was watchin' the news, apparently this couple in cleveland, ohio, had 11 adopted children with disorders (ranging from HIV, to FAS [fetal alcohol syndrome], to retardation), and they kept 8 of these kids in wooden cages with locks and alarms (ages ranging from 1 to 14 yrs of age).....their plea: not guilty, by reason of "ordered from a psychologist to do so".....

neighbors said the family was nice and all of the children seemed happy and were very polite and proper......so, who knows, maybe we should lock kids in cages

You read it for yourselves; the kids were polite and happy. Results speak louder than words, this seems like it should be the new standard for raising kids. I honestly think that if I had been raised in a cage that I wouldn't have had as much trouble being a shithead in my life.

Maybe it's a balance thing. Like, it's bad to mentally abuse your kids and everything, to scream at them and tell them that they're an accident. However, if you're nice to them and encouraging, but always putting them through physical duress and discipline, perhaps it will make the kid both well mannered and resilient in the long run. Makes sense to me, that's how the Japs did it.


In fact, I'm so confident in this, I'll even do my own research, on my own children! YEAH! So uh, to begin this thorough and purely scientific process, I'm gonna need a female volunteer... C'mon, it's for a good cause...

I think it's a fabulous idea, especially if you're a Catholic. You can have as many kids as you spawn and yet still go out and get shit-faced safe in the knowledge that your kids can't go out and steal a car.

The neighbours said that they kids seemed happy, polite and proper. I don't suppose that the neighbour would see these kids all that often right? And anyways, they could've convinced their neighbour to say that.
