my daughter got us up at 4:30 for the day. She is such a morning person it's scary.

I'm in and out today. Watching her, baking, and have to shovel snow off the roof so I can find the source of that leak.

i've got all my windows open, and they have been since dawn. it's in the 70s here and absolutely sunny-beautiful. i'm taking my kids for ice cream after naptime

What's the asian population like?

i've no idea, but the only asians i've ever seen here were vietnamese.... they apparently were sponsored to come here and start chicken houses for Sanderson Farms.

someone told me that they take on the last name of their sponsor, which is why we have about 10 different families starting chicken houses with the last name Nguyen, (pronounced "win") but none of them are related.

i forget that you don't know anything about where i come from, so let me explain. the reason i think the vietnamese thing is weird, and that miss texas is from here is weird: where i live is just a stop sign. there's not even a light. a gas station with one pump and population under 200

Sorry but I don't like Texas much because I don't have fond memories of being there. An airline almost left me there once en route to CA.

i'll admit, i've spent very little time away from texas, so without the basis for comparison i'm pretty biased... but i love it here. with all my heart. i never intend to leave for very long.

well, close. she came from this same county, but it's the town 15 miles over. only thing that's happened in the last 50 years that might put us on the map.

I'm currently living in a small town, at least in my eyes, things close at 6 at night.... weird... only one fast food place is open at 10.... I don't like it here.... keep in mind, I usually live in the biggest Canadian city, so this is odd for me.

i grew up here, so the experience, i am sure, was very different....

I lived in Toronto, the center of the world according to some... I loved it there.

like i said before, i'm not very well traveled. i've left texas a handful of times. once to south dakota, once to florida, once to memphis and chicago in the same trip....
drove down to mexico one day.
