Yeah, that's wild. Our big excursion in high school was a bus trip to Austin, Texas for a day trip to the capitol building. It was more like a field trip than a senior trip.

In high school, the seniors were always allowed to go to Europe for the school trip, in Elementary school though, from grade 6 through grade 8, we usually had a 3-5 day trip to some northern Ontario city/town, or we'd head off to Montreal or Quebec City

In the schools I attended:

7th grade - camping trip for 5 days
8th grade - end of year trip got to go to Six Flags

High school depended on what classes you had. History classes got to go to Washington DC, the foreign language classes sometimes got to go on trips to whatever country they were studying, and the oceanography class used to go the Virgin Islands (the latter two activities courtesy of fundraisers of course).

Junior year we went to DC. Senior year we went to Medieval Times.

our big outing in high school was to a farm two towns over. we got to make candles. lame

Yeah, I never got to do anything cool.

I swear to god we took 5 trips on the Goodtime III (stupid boat in Cleveland) and I had to go to Lake Farmpark (really fucking lame) at least 3 times. We never went anywhere more than 45 minutes away.
