How did this ever turn out, Metagion?

I was jobless for a while earlier this year, I had worked for 2yrs as a store manager for House of Knives, and then they decided they could run my location without a manager and laid me off... and ended up working in the art gallery that I purchased a couple of pieces from... Then again, my boss is truly bizarre sometimes, I'm sure she never so much as looked at my resume or letters of recommendation.

That was from... Jan 23rd or something, and my first day at my new job was Feb 28th.

Its strange, I have never worked in a place that has given me SUCH a strong urge to just walk out the door and never look back, and at the same time as it does that, it is quite possibly the most rewarding job I've ever had. I stay because of the contacts... my boss can provide me with some great contacts which while I don't need them now, I will absolutely need them in a couple of years when I go into Law

screw the pay, i'm looking for the coffee and tips...it'd be a nice compliment to a video store job, all my vices and addictions for free...pay would be the bonus, but barristas are pretty respected around here, especially the pretty and cheerful ones.

we all love coffee here, i personally enjoy the truck full of lumber mill workers getting their iced lattes, it's not a girl's drink anymore.

there is a blockbuster downstairs. And Dy's shop upstairs. And the state booze barn is downstairs as well.. Just about every vice you can have... OH! Wait. I work upstairs.. that should cover all your vices..

Yep, you can grab a latte to drink whilst you browse the movies and rent a few and than hit the booze store for your cocktails

I have known Tiggs since 1987 or thereabouts. We live about 4 blocks away and work at the same grocery store that my shop is located at So yeah.

He's like a wart. You get rid of him, and he reappears a year or two later.. LOL

It hasn't yet, Sin. I plan to go back to school in September to get my Associates in Science Degree (finally)! I've been unemployed a year in September (the 19th, to be exact). I'm just hoping for one more extension of unemployment benefits so I can get school underway....and then I'll look for part-time work (although I'm looking for part time work anyway....)
