What "legal" issues are we talking about then?

I was trying to figure that out, myself. What legal issue could possibly bar the upload of images from your personal computer, rather than the linking of images from someone else's site. It seems it'd be MORE illegal (if not just morally shitty.. ) to put img tags around a picture that belongs to someone else.

I do know though that there are some new obscenity laws on the books. Perhaps it has something to do with that.

Obscenity neve rhit us before, all I know is that we got a bunch of new ads and sponsers for the site recently and now we cant say nigger or upload pictures to the site anymore because of "legal" reasons. Kinda makes sense if you think about it. When you have a sponser and if you want to keep the sponser you'll censor yourself in order to keep them from pulling out.

I don't have a problem with any of it, really. I don't upload images. I do drop the "n" bomb every now and again, but it looks like that's back to normal. I have noticed an increase in closed threads. The thread you and I are posting on in politics was closed for being "too racist" after only a handful of replies. And my thread regarding the censorship of "nigger" was closed, as well.

Scares me. I'm getting flashbacks to 2001, when everything we did was closed or deleted.

I am not going to bother to fight it either, its not worth it, if garg wants to slit the forums throat and bleed it dry thats his business. I just like to rub it in thier face once and a while.
