Yes, because you make more money, you should pay more. That's the way the system is supposed to work. The percentage remains the same, it's the amount being paid which differs. When a CEO is paying less in taxes than his secretary, that means that the percentage being paid differs, and, yes, I think that's a bit fucked up.

A straight percentage across the board allowing for a set listing if deduction with proof having to be delivered would be alright.

But fuck me, 20% of 25K is 5K and even worse 20% of 1Mil is 200K. The difference is fucking shit obvious. Why should he pay 200K when the guy making 25K is squeaking by on 5K??

That ramps up far too quickly and we would be better served by set and fair tax rates for everyone.

I made the same amount a year as he did, and had to pay at the same percentage as what I do now, I would be the one who ended up paying more than he did, simple as that. Second It also proves the fact that the rich fucks Buffet is talking about can donate when it most benefits them(certain exceptions made, such as those who have foundations and other such organizations for donations), but cannot do one simple thing that would benefit charities through another means, no everyone doesn't care, but maybe they should.
