As crazy as it sounds... this is the first time I've been completely wasted visiting DF.

I'm lame. I know.

But in any event, I made some cool friends tonight, which I've been seriously lacking since I moved here. I'm excited, because they live in my apartment complex, and they're pretty cool people.

I was feeling pretty desperate for friends, but now that I actually HAVE friends, that feeling has disappeared.



Shit. I'm going to wake up tomorrow and say to myself... "you posted a completely retarded thread on DF, what were you thinking?"

But I don't care. I've known most of you people longer than I've known most of my real friends... does that make all of you better friends than the people that have completely ignored me since I moved out here?

I'm not sure. But either way, I finally took initiative and made a couple friends here. That HAS to be worth something. Right? Right.

nah dude, its cool. sometimes its hard to make new friends when you're somewhere new, and even harder is finding decent friends.

It's cool, I consider myself to be a Social Dynamo now but back in Highschool I was pretty much your stereotypical sad, lonely kid with no real friends. I only have 2 really good friends where I live now but when I was in Maine for about a year I met at least a dozen people who I consider to be good friends. So I know the feeling.

Oh you think you have friends in your inebrieted state, but rest assured that they will exist only to leach off your precious lifeblood because you have no option for anyone else as friends. When any state of static equilibrium is disrupted, such as you not having friends, an equal and opposite reaction will take place until the original state is again attained and all forces (and moments) add to zero.

In a nutshell: you will be friendless once again, and the natrual order of things will continue on.

At least I'm comfortable with how I am and what I have coming to me.

I understand that these won't become true friends. I'm leaving this place in three months to move back home... but even superficial friends are better than nothing when I'm losing my mind from being lonely.

I accept that... and I'm still happy that I've found people to waste my time with until I move home.

The key word here is "what I have coming to me". there is no need to change plans if there were a need for plans to begin with. Poetic and literary genius cannot be constrained and will always be discovered in due time as William Blake was. My only hope is that my genius will be recognized soon so that I may enjoy its fruits of world travel and international fame such as that of Lord Byron, but I will admit that is a long shot.

I at least deserve a section in the Norton Anthology dedicated to me after I die, and these posts I've been making will serve the admirable purpose of guiding future literary critics in the right direction to interpret my multifaceted works.

just before you go in 20 percent with 4 of your friends for nascar seats and hotel rooms that can't be unbooked make sure that they aren't the type of people that like to pull out at the last minute and disappear because that's not what a friend is. Be even more cautious when choose a roommate. Make sure she is not out of her mind because that can be frustrating and apparently they won't their half of the rent! Because they want to go to Mexico.
