ok well not everybody isn't honest about certain things when it would come to people we are in contact with. but how come it does have to be that way? well i sapposse that not being honest can serve its purpose. because somethings things are better not ment to be known or said. but THEY are gonna be known anyway. because stuff has a way of revealing its self for the things that aren't ment to be known...
you notice this saying which goes "honesty is the best policy" well how good is it to be FULLY honest about something then to not BE honest about it? because being honest can get you into trouble just as much as not being honest... so what the fuck are we setting ourselves up for when it would come to either being honest or not?
because i'm starting to think a little differently about honesty....

sweetie - it matters because some people don't have the strength to TAKE honesty, or aren't honorable enough to accept it without turning on you. Therefore, somtimes it's best to not tell the whole truth in order to not hurt yourself or others.

you know that your best friends boyfriend is cheating on her.

what do you do?

for one thing i'll wish that i could be stupid and that i never new about the cheating in the first place. instead of telling her about it i'll put it off to the side and let her figure it out on her own... because she does love her boyfriend and if i were to say something about it she wouldn't believe it.

there you go.

OR, if you told her and she believed you, you now become a negative it of her life because of the decisions that she had to make since you told her. OR if she's VERY mature, she will love you for it, but you will also always remind her of it by just being there.....

well let's put is this way.

Think about how you feel when you are told the absolute truth.

And put that in your mental dictionary as a judgement point.

If your friend steals something from a store, and her mother comes and asks you about it, tell the truth, perhaps it will make her not steal again.

If you hate something about your boyfrind, tell him the truth (in the nicest possible manner so he has a chance to change it).

if you screwed something up yourself, your best bet is to come clean the moment you realize it.

I try to hold my tongue- but I just can't- I'm to blunt.

But I know when to tell certain truths at certain times.

Don't ask me to lie- I'll never do it.
