Hi I'm a newbie!

I like to write to forums without reading their content. I'm just going to jump right in to this one because it says darkforum, so I assume it is for people who's cars are painted a dark color. My car's actually a truck, and it's brown... kinda dark, I think. It's a mazda sundowner and really old.

My point is that often these people haven't read anything on the board before posting, or at least haven't gone in depth. The rules and general acceptance policies can't be adhered to if they're unknown. So while your solution is logical, it's still flawed in its execution. We're pretty much doomed to bare the vexing of this onslaught of "Hey I'm New" posts. The recent surge of these newbie posts, I believe, was brought on by Sire's "Chat or Forum?" greeting on the main page. Since people can't see our forum before first becoming a member, they don't even get a chance to read about what we like and don't like in conduct. Also, many people feel obligated to say something as soon as they become a member. It's a reflection of society. Many people can speak but few can listen.

I'm sorry I always have to annoy people before explaining what I meant, I'll try to cut down on that too...
