I found that to be funny... when it was all over the Internet a couple months ago, and it was on the national news (CNN, MSNBC, etc.), and everybody was talking about it. Now, it's just kinda there..

Gave it up about three years ago when I realized EVERYONE was writing the same angst-filled shit I was.

I wrote fiction first, but I gave it up because I realized that I didn't really like fiction all that much I'm really reeeeeeally picky about the fiction I read. It's become so commercialized. Can't do that with poetry, since not enough people like it.

Word. Too many people think that you can just throw down completely random thoughts and feelings, and call it poetry. nah. Literature should examine the English language as much as it should the writer's "feeeeeeelings," (*sniff*), in my opinion. I hate seeing, "Ohhhh, these are just some random thoughts," and then a bunch of boo-hoo crap in verse form. Ack.

Damn. If that were poetry, I would be the master.

i totally agree.....my poetry, i'm not a big fan of, but i'd say itz pretty damn good in the literature sense of what poetry should be
