I've been parting it in the middle for 6 or so years, I've grown it shoulder-length and chopped it off back to my short (other people's long hehe), I take as good of care of it as I can, but I can't help thinking my hairstyle has gotten too dull for me... it's been the same forever... what to do?

Umm... been there. Yeah, I didn't enjoy that stage of my long hair growth (not a real mullet, but way too damn close).

Did that for two years before I switched... hehe... middle is way too damn natural for me right now.

Hehe . My hair is obscenely straight, no curls, nothing; I tried the gel gig, the strongest stuff I could find didn't work... I could have a mean mohawk with some glue, but I'm not going that far .

Grow it long! Long! Long! Long! Too much fun!!! I like long guy hair . . . . not that it matters much to me how much fun your hair is, come to think of it . . . . Oh well.

HAHA! I would! Just to laugh at the moron for bein' dumb enough to get a haircut like that. Kind of shows whether or not the person has their brain turned on or off. Only someone with their head lodged between their buttcheeks would listen to a friend, (especially a GUY friend), telling them to get a mullet.

LOL. The only problem I had with my shoulder-length hair is it seemed that half the time it looked awesome... the other half, ugh.

But I do think I'll try it again, just try to bear with it as it slowly crawls through the "bad hair stages." (I'm down to lower neck already).

If you want the punk style, use an elmers glue...it's washes out easily and holds those spikes with a delightful sheen

I color my hair, but for the last three years I've been perming and then coloring...I'd suggest buying some pretty hair accesories and trying twists and other hair design, but you are not a girl so I don't think it would work...

you should shave off the very top part and then do the comb-over with the sides of your hair. that haircut kicks ass... here, i'll include some instructions:
