I hate these fucking shit heads.

A demostration was held to protest Finland and Russias continuation of the fur trade today in Helsinki, one of the leading protesters and the leader of the rally was found wearing leather boots.

In her defence she said that leather was taken from a cow when it was slaughtered for its meat and that fur is taken from animals that are not eaten. Her fellow protesters agreed with her and backed her up.

On a sighened petition were over 5,000 names most who whom are from outside scandinavia. They highlighted the actions of several families one of which were the Hiekillas - my family.

What a pile of hyprocritcal bullshit.

These fucks better get their priorities right if they want to make demonstrations. My family hold a fur trading licence this means we are legally allowed to process animals for their fur. We do not own fur farms as they are farm too costly to maintain and we would never own fur farms. We hunt reindeer and mink as a way to survive up here and fur trading makes up 5% of our revenue we make 90% from our sled dogs who we sell to sled teams all over the world. Mink are a problem and so we have to shoot them if we leave them where they lie they attract predators and that is bad for everyone let alone the reindeer herds who we depend upon so we skin them and sell them off for extra money no animal cruelty involved.

I am so fucking pissed off by this as are the rest of my family about these fucking city shit heads who have their heads shoved so fucking far up their asses that they wouldn't know a mink if one ripped their throat out...

Well said keeper of life. I am against fur, but not in the snese that most protesters are.....I am against wearing exotic furs..as in vanity furs, such as the very rare snow leopard, tigers, polar bears and the like, the killing of those precious creatures close to the brink of extinction for our vanity. I do not object to mink, they are bred for fur, much like cows are bred for beef and milk. I object to inhuman living conditions for them as I also do so for the meat trade, but when they are killed and bred and kept humanley and in suitable condtions I have no objections. People confuse situations like these and as you said keep their heads so far up their own arses they fail to see the goddamn forest for the trees.
I eat meat, I object to inhumanity and needless waste. I support farmers who have the decency to keep the aminals as they should be kept and treated as though they have needs rather than being a need.

I fully support what you are saying hunny....if you however start poaching endangered species I believe we would fall out over it

i am 100% behind every single person that signs a petition to end any part of the fur trade. i don't, however, think that they are justified in singling out individual producers; that's just a cop out. they need to target the big market and the sick fucks who actually wear the stuff. the only reason they target family businesses is because they don't have the guts to go big league. check the claims they have made very carefully, they may or may not be guilty of libel.
